BlueLine Realistic Dispatch - Future Updates
Added 2024-09-26 01:53:32 +0000 UTCFirst, thank you all for the overwhelming positive feedback on the dispatch mod!
Most that know me through videos as Benzo, Mike, BlueLine, the NPC violator ... okay I made the last one up, but most know me to be a diligent guy and I never stop at something until I feel satisfied. Well I am not satisfied with the mod, not yet.
I am fully aware of some issues that most are having, so let's break it down.
BlueLine Realistic Dispatch Update: Addressing Your Concerns!
Audio Issues:
Missing Audio: Some callouts might lack audio due to the original creator not including it. I'll keep adding missing audio in future updates if I find any. Please note: I may never find some audio files if the creator did not code it correctly so they will continued as they were previously with the old dispatcher to be muted for callout description. My mod has not muted any of the callout descriptions, if it's there, it should play it.
Old Dispatcher Audio: If using Xscanner, follow the video guide (linked below) for more info
Old dispatcher is giving out weird information on certain calls. Audio says that you are responding to a possible drug deal when it is supposed to be about an animal callout? Well, that is on the callout creator for picking an audio file that "sounded cool". I modified the audio as per Rockstar's information with their own Police 10 codes in their own game. Did you know that a
11-351 is a police code (in GTA 5) that corresponds to a drug deal? But some callout creators just liked the "sound of it", so they in turn just used the same audio for several callouts, doesn't matter what the call is about. I can change the callout audio to just be "We got an 11-351" I might just have to do that in an upcoming update to make certain callouts more universal.Conflicting Audio for callout description (old dispatch / new dispatcher mixed) : Double-check for other callout packs with their own audio folders that you may have installed or perhaps you didn't delete your old scanner folder before installing version 1.5 - Yep, windows merging system!
Other Concerns:
Audio Levels: Adjust in-game audio settings. Some intentional distortion was added with some audio. Make sure your in-game audio settings unders sfx is at least 60% if not 70% would be better. If I run across any audio file that seems extremely loud or very quiet, I can correct that in a future update.
Grammar Police is not understanding you: This mod doesn't affect Grammar Police functionality. Visit Opus49's Discord for troubleshooting (link below).
Long Dispatch Audio for Calls: You're right! I'll shorten dispatch audio to under 6 seconds in the next update (v1.8) to give you more time to accept/decline calls.
Looking Ahead (v2.0):
Replacing Police Scanner Audio: Working on a complete replacement for the old scanner voice.
New Callout Audio Packs: Looking for potential callout packs that have their own audio folders that still work. Post any you find in the comments below! Note: I prefer not to include really old callouts packs (like 5 years) as they have been known to cause crashes.
Thank you for your continued support!

2024-10-29 11:32:58 +0000 UTCHello, thank you for the best audio pack! Your audio really brings realism to my daily work. This is a request, but can you make it compatible with Radio Realism FR by Officerporci? XScanner is difficult, but this plugin only consists of wav audio, what do you think? ttps://www.lcpdfr.com/downloads/gta5mods/scripts/30132-radio-realism-fr/

2024-10-12 17:50:06 +0000 UTCThanks, yep I actually fixed those which will be included in a future update to the dispatch mod. I don't mind zipping it up for you now if you like. Here ya go - Unfortunately Patreon doesn't allow me to post a clickable link, which is dumb. So you will need to paste this URL into your browser. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1WgbWFqiD9Am3NqlNAgzXx41AZxgV5odX/view?usp=sharing

2024-10-11 20:50:23 +0000 UTCProbably easier to stop by the discord, I think I have seen you post in there correct? If not, make sure you post in the discord as it's hard to troubleshoot over comments. However, to crash after installing the dispatch mod is extremely rare. Haven't really heard of others having this issue. Have you tried to replace your original scanner folder and see if the crashing is still happening? But once again, I would need to see your Rage Log and it's easier to post on the discord.

2024-10-09 21:35:31 +0000 UTCThank you for the recommendation. I just took a look at Yobbin Callouts. It does have about 20 audio files in the audio pack folder. I will have to test it out and see if those can be specially modified to fit the actual callout in question. Some of his audio files have unique names, which might help. Other audio files seem to share generic names with the regular crimes folder. I will test and see how it goes. Thanks again for the recommendation.

2024-09-26 20:13:24 +0000 UTCYeah that sounds very complicated behind the scenes especially with all the different authors doing different things. Kudos to you for all the work you're putting in to make this the best it can be.

2024-09-26 13:01:21 +0000 UTCOh gotcha! Thanks

2024-09-26 03:09:34 +0000 UTCThanks for the feedback. I think most of that issue was due to the fact that the callout author did not understand the actual GTA 5 Police 10-code system. So for example, there may be 3 audio files referring to a wav file called 11_351.wav, 11_351_01.wav, 11_351_02.wav the callout author probably saw the wav file and maybe they heard it before from the old dispatch and heard this "Attention all units, we have an 11-351, in Strawberry" Sounds cool right? That is exactly what the callout author's thought too. Problem is, if they listened to the last one 11_351_02 the dispatch actually says "possible drug deal" See the problem? I literally listened to every single police 10 code and translated it. I had no idea that several callout packs would call on the same audio file because it "sounded cool" Same thing went for the disturbance, the wav file POSSIBLE_DISTURBANCE.wav I guess is so popular with callout authors, they probably have their copy and paste fingers all over it in their code. Unfortunate to say the least, that they could have been more creative with their files. Well I guess it's back to the old drawing board. I might consider trying to make multiple audio files to see if the game will at least pull things like POSSIBLE_DISTURBANCE_01.wav POSSIBLE_DISTURBANCE_02.wav If so, I can at least change the variable.

2024-09-26 02:56:13 +0000 UTCSorry. Maybe I expressed myself badly. I meant that my GrammarPolice has never worked better than since installing your Dispatch mod.

2024-09-26 02:34:50 +0000 UTCAll sounds great! The callout packs I have seem to like referring to any car related call as a vehicle fire, and any kind of disturbance as a domestic disturbance. At least they pull your audio files, I haven't heard the old dispatcher once since I installed the mod 😁
Marc
2024-09-26 02:17:35 +0000 UTCSo you got your answer from Opus49's discord? What did they mention could be the issue?
BlueLine Vibes
2024-09-26 01:58:35 +0000 UTCTo be honest, my GrammarPolice didn’t understood as well as before.
