October 2022 Update

I don't have much to report in terms of added features to the forums from this last month. Right now I've been playing around with cost savings to the infrastructure that hosts the forums. In recent months our providers have increased costs of a few of the products we use and for the moment we are forced to eat the costs as right now there is not a better alternate to move to.
Overall this doesn't change our monthly goals or what we offer to the forums. However this means we have less reserve cash in case of unexpected costs. Our most major unexpected costs has been serving forum data. We are currently using a CDN that distributes all of our photos (on average 3TB+ per month) on the forums and we've seen a month-over-month increase in forum traffic that has been driving up those costs. Again I have no fear we won't be able to afford it but as the site has grown it creates a bigger logistical challenge with how much data we serve. This is orders of magnitude more than the old forums ever did serve.
Right now as the holiday season moves forward I expect most of this traffic growth to taper off and have no worries about our future.
