September 2022 Update
Added 2022-09-02 05:41:22 +0000 UTCHello all sorry for the long posting delay! It has been quite the last few months as I started a new job and have been forced to travel a lot. I have not had a lot of time to myself and at least for the near future I will be traveling a lot. However my commitment to the site has not changed, I will still be here to maintain the site.
Since we last talked I have made some major upgrades to the forum. The main change has been updates to the backend infrastructure. We now have a fully distributed and backed up website and database.
The web server is redundant and has a full backup enabling quick rebuilds if there was ever a failure. Additionally the database is now in a cluster that has a quick replication backup in case of failure, it also has hour by hour backups for the previous 7 days allowing a more precise restore if failed. And lastly we are now using a full CDN (content delivery network) to serve images, this is for faster loading of images and reduces intensive resources on the web server.
All of this helps for the best content delivery we can for everybody.
In addition to the forums upgrades I have taken the time to update our Patreon site with the tiers being more defined, we now have Discord integration, and our goals have been updated.
