Damn that's a close race! I started using LLMs (like ChatGPT) for my homebrew campaign and if you know how to prompt them there are some really nice results! It's not as easy and straight forward though as one might think. It behaves more like a co-author that you can use to bounce ideas. I'd be very interested in your take on it!

I'm very happy for the fact that D&D 2024 is bringing back some attention to the old school bastions (it doesn't matter whether the name was the same or not): building a place, attracting followers, managing the place, dividing the PC's time and focus between "playing Civilization" and going adventuring. That was a really pleasant part of D&D in the 70s and 80s. The C (Companion) book from BECMI was focused on that, and did it very well. It did not follow 100% of what oD&D said, and that was a good thing in my opinion, since we could choose the best of both worlds. Also, in the 90s, Birthright came, and it was great at expanding those Kingdom rules, but unfortunately did not last long. Long story short, the new Bastion rules build on the ones mentioned above, but mixing those with 5e flavour. Such an interesting mixture! I hope you do make a video on that, Luke. Warm regards, V
