Exciting News and Some Changes!

$25+ Tier Adventures

Starting in July, I will be personally writing the adventures that our $25+ patrons receive every month.

Furthermore, we'll be publishing them in our adventure arc style, meaning July's adventure will segue into August's adventure and so on. For 2023, we'll be releasing two adventure arcs in this style:

Both adventure arcs tie into each other, essentially making this a mini-campaign spanning levels 3 to 8. You could literally run your group through these adventures as we release them, one each month!

And they are all written by me, so you can expect to find more than a little of my evil genius thrown in there. >:D

Oh, oh, oh! And then in 2024, I'll be doing a similar thing, only creating a level 1 to 12 campaign that consists of 4 separate adventure arcs, each with 3 adventures in them. (Just don't tell anyone on my team I told you about this, because I don't think I'm supposed to be announcing this just yet. But I figure, shoot, I'm typing stuff already, so why not?)

D&D One-Shot Changes

Starting in June, the D&D one-shots I run for patrons are going to change just slightly. Instead of being private games, we're going to transition to streaming the games live to my YouTube channel.

Also, for these one-shot games, we'll be playing through the adventure written by me that will be published the next month to our $25+ tier. (I'll have to tweak them slightly to fit into a 4-hour game session, of course.)

So, this will be your chance to PLAY THE ADVENTURE WITH ME LIVE ON STREAM before it gets released to the general public!

Pathfinder 2e Changes

We've seen some concern expressed that D&D 5e content will be going away, so allow me to state this again:

D&D 5E CONTENT WILL NOT BE GOING AWAY!

We will be creating our content in both D&D 5e and Pathfinder 2e (PF2), meaning that no matter which system you're playing, you'll be able to use our stuff.

This is how it'll work:

From now through August, both the 5e version and PF2 version will be available to all patrons at our $15 tier.

Starting in September with our official PF2 launch, we'll create TWO $15 tiers, one for the 5e version and another for the PF2 version. That way, patrons can choose which tier they'd like based on the game system they're using. However, patrons at our $25 tier will get both 5e and PF2 versions of our stuff.

I'm sure there are folks who would prefer that both versions remain at the $15 tier, but what we're finding is that creating both versions is quite time intensive (that's business speak for expensive). So, when our PF2 version officially launches, we'll need to split it into two tiers to account for the added effort.

You bet! Always happy to help!

I'll still be playing 5e with several of my groups, too. It's still a great system, even if it has some annoying flaws. :D

Patreon's year membership billing will actually take care of this situation flawlessly. If a year patron changes tiers, they are billed a pro-rated amount for the difference between the current and new tier. So, let's pretend you are at $15 now and go to $25, you'll just be charged the $10 difference for the months remaining in your yearly membership. And you'll get instance access to everything at the $25 level.

Awesome! I get to be the one issuing the death rolls instead of trying to survive your rolls haha. I can't wait to see what you come up with Luke and thank you and your team for doing this for us!

Awesome stuff!

Good information and thanks for the info. Unfortunately I am seeing some of my players not loving some of the PF2e mechanics so it looks like I will be rocking 5e for some time. With that glad to see 5e is still on the creative radar. The adventure arc plan is also a happy to see item.

So the breakdown of how 5E/PF2E content works makes sense, but the change has some problems that I see due to people who may have paid for the full year at a $15 level in advance (it's me, I am people). Granted that things change, but how will people's who prepaid in this way be affected? How do we specify which content we want when the split happens, or upgrade our pledge to get ALL content without getting rebilled for a full year again?
