My Next Kickstarter Launches April 5

Many of you have been wanting physical copies of Lair Magazine (and I know there are others that print everything themselves and keep them in binders), so I'm happy to announce that my Lairs & Legends Kickstarter will now be launching April 5!

We'll be taking all 2021 issues of Lair Magazine and publishing them in two hardcover books: Lairs & Legends and Loot & Lore. But we're also spiffing things up:

• We've corrected errata.
• Many of the adventures have been revised and improved.
• There will a fresh new interior layout and design.
• And, we'll be commissioning custom artwork throughout.

The last one is huge. Custom artwork costs a pretty penny, but through crowd-funding, it comes within our reach.

So, if you've always wanted physical copies -- or you're a new patron and don't have all the back issues -- this Kickstarter will be the chance for that!

Kickstarter Content

All told, the content (before stretch goals) looks like this:

• an anthology of 25 fifth-edition adventures spanning levels 1 to 15
• over 100 new terrifying monsters
• stand-alone encounters
• magic items
• puzzles
• traps
• adventure ideas
• random tables
• NPCs
• villains
• factions and patrons
• spells
• subclasses

Patron Perks

As a way to thank my awesome patrons for their ongoing support that makes everything we do possible, everyone who is a DM Lair patron and backs the Kickstarter will get:

• $10 off their pledge
  This credit will be handled in the survey manager, Backerkit, and will be applied as a credit toward shipping or additional addons you might get.
• A bonus PDF with additional content
  We're still hashing out the details of what this will contain, but right now we're looking at a custom character sheet themed after the Kickstarter, custom NPC cards for creating your own NPCs, monsters based on ideas submitted by patrons, and magic items based on ideas submitted by patrons. We're also considering short adventures designed to be scaled according to the tier of your adventuring party.

There will early bird specials that will allow you to get a discount on two of the foundational tiers of the Kickstarter.

• Blue Dragon Tier - only available the first 3 days
  Save $15 and get both hardcover books, the map pack, and your name in the credits.
• Silver Dragon Tier - only available the first 5 days
  Save $25 and get both hardcover books, both PDFs, the map pack, and your name in the credits.
