2024-08-19 11:30:24 +0000 UTCfunnily enough i have tried it! sadly the tape needs to run at a ridiculous speed. it needs to be a scientific tape machine and even then it likely wont have the resoluition. i tried and failed :(. the baud rate of midi is too high. i really wanted to use tape as the medium for midi playback at my shows

I wonder if you can record a midi signal somehow on the tape and also if the speed would effect the pitch or the tempo on the synth... something kinda like this youtuber I follow did but he recorded images and effecting the speed messes the image (He made a video in 2017 about it:https://youtu.be/wafjvBnajC8?si=2K5EqKNTRShLBPj2 )
