So for this weeks video I decided to tackle this thing. Which has been pushed back and back. First down to complications, then down to the fact it was a bit naff. Then down to it not being very good! Then down to forgetting a few details of the project. And then just back and forth.
But this week is it's week!
I'm trying to upload on Wednesdays to the main channel at the minute but as ever. There's delays. Struck with a little bit of a stripboard problem today that took far longer to troubleshoot than I had anticipated!
Currently waiting on a 3D print of a stand-off for the pattern select button and jacks. 8 hours!
Currently working on it and adding a couple more bells and whistles
You'll notice if you remember what this is that it has no patterns programmed. Well I am hoping to have it finished before I start weaving in bits and bobs so watch this space on that!
For you that don't know what the fudge it is. It's a rope core memory sequencer. You program in the drum patterns you want using wire woven through those big ferrite cores at the top of the machine.
It's a simpler approach to what I had initially planned as it would have taken a lot more work. If this project when it's done has people interested I will embark on the original plan I had as this one isn't as friendly to program as you would expect and to make it work the way I would love it to. It will take a lot more logic circuits! But! If the video catches the curiosities. Maybe the V2.0 will be made.
It's tough to say when the video will be out. Maybe tomorrow evening if I'm lucky! Maybe Friday. But rest assured I'm not skiving on you :D.
All the best.
