I think I figured out the switching of the 2 wrongly soldered brown wires. The switch Sam did was to put the original brown wire on the output 2 (pot 1) now thru the loom goes to Carry out jack and loomed to pin 12 on 4017. Then the original wire from carryout jack , is now connecting to pin 2 4017 on the loom . Hope hope I got that right , any comments on what people saw and agree or help out and disagree and correct what wire goes where. Thanks folks
