BUILDERS LIVESTREAM

Today Im going to attempt to build on the idea of the Atari punk console, ill announce the winner of the competition at the start, then explain what im thinking of doing, then breadboard a standard Atari punk console, then after that hopefully try out an idea I had called the Atari Atari punk punk console. 9PM BST.

EDIT :- slick8086 commented this

APCHC  Atari Punk Console Human Caterpillar.... Dude!!! Forrest Mimms made the circuit and published it in 1980!!!  Kaustic machines just renamed it... Mimms wrote a ton of really cool little "mini engineer note books and a really cool "getting started in electronics" book thatwere sold at radio shack, and started a bunch of people in the 80's in DIY electronics. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atari_Punk_Console Here is the book that the "Stepped Tone Generator" (later dubbed APC) was published.  Dig the neat hand drawn on graph paper schematics emblematic of Mimms books. p22 for APC https://archive.org/details/electronics_-_Forrest_Mims-engineers_mini-notebook_555_timer_circuits_radio_sha/page/n11/mode/2up Do check out his book on Op Amps https://archive.org/details/Forrest_Mims-Engineers_Mini-Notebook_Op_Amp_Ic_Circuits_Radio_Shack_Electronics/mode/2up

I must confess I completely forgot the story, so if you interested read on the above! it has been a fair few years since I recalled the tale of the stepped tone generator!

I still own both of those books! Bought them as a teen at the local Radio Shack.
