yep it is indeed a lot of money, but I can imagine the amount being sold in such a niche, to make development back its not a bad price. also seems they were designed and made in Japan and sold in the us probably doesn't make it cheaper. but its about the same price midines used to be. im looking into circuit bending the nes. there's some good info on casper electronic site however its down. just emailed casper to see what's happening as the archive is gone too!

hey Todd., its a fair point there is a shift. however the best suggestion I can make is to just do it. writing songs can be hard but it can also be very easy, its a case of chilling out and not being scared of the first idea, and going with it. imagine it like a hill. you rise up on a journey bring things in and out and in and out etc. I started composing songs when I was 12 so maybe im not the best to suggest. however I started the first time I picked up a guitar, just made up a riff and rolled on it for half an hour humming over it. it was a simple as riff, but it felt good. its taking that riff and structuring it. adding drums etc and being able to compose, I thin the best saying I can think of is Don't be scared to try it haha.

Too bad the Famimimidi is a bit too expensive :-( You can buy like 4 NES for the same amount of money.
Maybe it is possible to circuit bend the NES instead ๐ค Anyone here done something like that? I'll check with google...
Awesome tune by the way ๐I just love the nes sounds ๐

It is absolutely amazing what you can do in a short amount of time, coming up with a sequence that sounds like that in a matter of a few hours of programming.
I have always dreamed of getting to the point I can develop just one song of all my own sounds and you do this on a regular basis.
I know i might sound cheesy but it is what it is, I work as often as i can learning and working on self teaching how to create a sequence/mix or group of sounds that i can use to broad cast my feelings and thoughts.
I know I am some random Dude posting from the USA but I have been addicted to music in this way from child hood and desperately trying to find resources of how to get to the point I can get past learning to actually creating.
And yes electronic music with industrial feel is my thing for sure.
