VLOG POLYPHONY THANKS JUHA!!!

so yes I did shoot this on Monday however I got a new laptop and also had to pop off somewhere for a couple of days and it just meant I couldn't get into pattern to post this! so back now.

amazingly my old laptop which I explained was a bit far gone,  but still functioned! amazingly it just stopped working, call me paranoid! but maybe there's a conspiracy going on haha.

Right so. thanks very much to juha for quickly compiling some code for the midi stream I had been chatting about struggling with. to make it polyphonic! we had a chat on hangout today and it will be part of the next update which will be up soon! here's the code and his GitHub! so if you have this problem go check it out!@ its extremely useful.

so thanks again

Hi Sam! When I saw that it was possible to make a polyphonic synth, I decided to try to make your modules. But the part between the MIDI controller and the Fartbox is a bit unclear to me. Can you make a schematic of it? Is there a midi in and midi out on the arduino nano with two switches? how do you power the midimuso? is it possible to power it with the FC Power supply?

indeed! all good! just soldering atm I saw you sent an email ill check it! thanks for the code, sorry for not checking quite yet!!! I'm bad at multitasking, I'm going to finish the patch bay design tomorrow I think!!!

for the fart box part yes, so midi has 16 channels. so it takes channel one from the midi and splits it to the first 6 midi channels (1-6) the midi must midi to cv interface, takes those 6 channels of midi and plays the designated midi channel to midi to cv line. because the midimuso is a 6 channel midi to cv converter. then it sends CV and trigger signals to the fart boxes

I’m a little confused about the midi part, I’ve been controlling everything with cv up until now. Is it one midi out, split to 6 midi and each of those to a cv?
