so yes thanks a lot to Juha Kivekäs who quickly popped together a midi splitter code! im going to try it out tomorrow and fingers crossed it will get this megamachine singing!

Also chatting about the tuner module, hopefully will have the stripboard/code/pcb project and video up early next week!

Progress on the gameboy megamachine is steady. im trying to get it done in 2 months for my XOYO london gig but i have a feeling that wont be the case, however i want to get it playable by then which i think is totally possible

what gameboy buttons would you go for? originals or blacks?

also talking about my digital 8x8 patchbay i am planning for the analog section of the gameboy megamachine, it will be controllable by midi and will send signals over to analog switches on each of the analog modules meaning they can go in any orientation and even go back on themselves, no idea how useful it will be but this whole project is an experiment into the unknown! The 1 thing i am struggling with on the patch bay is status LED's. its a relatively simple problem but i am about as literate at code as a 10 year old is at reading, "i can just about get by, but very slowly!" so if anyone has sitting around anything they could modify for either a teensy or an arduino nano which is basically MIDI INPUT, 64 notes from C0 each note lights up one of the LED's when the note is on, orientated in an 8x8 grid. it would be rather awesome!. but no worries if not, im sure i will figure it out..

ALSO! like i mentionned in the vlog, GAMEBOY GENIUS AKA NITRO2k01 the writer of the ROM REZ aswell as many other invaluable contributions to gameboy DIY reached out to me to try and solve a lot of the problems with the actual gameboys roms im choosing to use. which means PORTAMENTO which is extremely extremely exciting because it will sound absolutely massive.

what would you do? IE the laptop? Its my editing machine and basically everything but music machine (however its pretty slow) fix it? or just reserve it to a sort of workbench scrappy desktop computer with an external screen haha.
