VLOG 54

First things first! FART BOXES im working on that video at the end of this week im building a fully functioning one for kursa and documenting it with a video. but ryan peacher was eager enough to pull a BOM off of the pcb as all of the components are labelled :-https://drive.google.com/file/d/1DJFKooefsL-sErRvynaODwfEZe6ILGkZ/view

HOWEVER POTS ARE WRONG. 100k for everything except attack and release is 1m and cutoff is 4k7

you can get by with the cheaper AS3340's also.

so lots going on! been working on music but around it lots of things on the go. whilst im waiting for the bus boards to turn up i've started putting together the other gameboy cabinet. got all 24 panels drilled and painted.

The first of my pcb modular journey is finally on its way, im trying out the pcb panels like some eurorack manufacturers do, as opposed to metal ones. who knows, it might be a silly idea but ill find out!!!

and currently putting together a tuner project for the modular. because i need tuners in my modular setuop for live, by the end of it i plan in having 6 tuners all in 1 module. all for the 12 oscillators in my main modular.

What taper for the pots on the Fart Box?

Only thing, I haven’t been able to machine squares or rectangles into my panels any ability to do with circles ;)

That would be awesome, I love that idea! Is it difficult to pull off?

i use a boss tuner, but its quite a timely affair, so my idea is to have the tuners permanently wired to the oscillators, telling me what notes are being played all the time

aaaah i see. so like a tone tuner. thats fair! however the reason i am building tuners into my synth is because when im on stage due to the volume and audio bouncing aroud and various other noises going on in the room, i find it very hard to place the tuning of the notes. it might just be me, i dont know. i dont use in ears which i possibly should do. so basically i need a visual age on stage, because half the time i havent got a clue wether the actual synth is in tune haha.

Yea then you could tune the other oscillators to that by hand maybe?

like what a quantizer would do? as in you hit E it plays an E on the oscillator?

Love the tuner idea! Are you able to show how to generate a single note to switch to with a switch like E,F,G,A,B,C?
