LMNC - COMMODORE 64 BACKSLASH BACKLASH

heres the audio "Backslash Backlash" from a video that should be up either today or tomorrow! depending if i can fit the rest of the video editing in my ever growing to do list today haha.

So basically if you havent guessed it, the next vid is on the commodore 64. and a program called MSSIAH which has a program called SEQUENCER which is sort of like cubase or logic or whatever, but for Commodore 64!  this song i made last night, it took a long damn while. i thought it was only gunna take 2 or 3 hours, and it got to 6 this morning after about 10 hours of staring at a CRT screen trying to navigate the screen with the most cumbersome mouse possible, but i persisted even though i wanted to scratch my eyes out.

what your hearing is no effects literally the 2 sid chips in this commodore 64, 1 is panned left and the other is panned right, they are both the early style sid chips 1 6581 REVISION 3 and 1 6581 REVISION 4.

hope you enjoy the rather quintessentially 80's game music!.... imagine your playing a version of outrun where the car is mad max on the desert floor shooting lazers at other dune buggies driving around.

Something about playing the real thing on the real thing, sounds kickass, its going out of time with itself trying to keep up. and just making grotty mistake here and there. sounds sick

Now that, is a bop.

hey skootaman! that is interesting, there definitely should be somewhere with lots of stuff like your saying! im figuring out how to get a building big enough to be able to have something community led for people to come. like an equipment library with a museum aspect to it. no idea how it would work! they are slowly trying to get all of their stuff up and running i have no idea how long it will take them mind!!!! :O.

Hey Sam! Love it - I started out with a Spectrum + a “SpecDrum” I nodded (about 12 at the time) then a C64 with the SCI interface but things got real with the ST1040. Anyhoo - interested in what you said about a museum. I’ve spent a life collecting stuff and because of some medical stuff I’ve started to ponder what the hell to do with my weirder kit. I loved the museum you visited (and really want to go there and try the synth room) and thought about contacting them but if the stuff can stay in the country, all the better. It’s a long term thing but I feel like there’s a bigger picture in preserving stuff but making it useable and accessible so it inspires new generations. Meeting an old Industrial Metal guy the other day (picked up an old Akai) made me realise there must be a lot of us crusty’s out there with moogs, akais, and plenty of unique and modded stuff. So maybe it could be a community project?
