so good news. finally the bus board is done, should have it intime for the next update next weekend about the gameboy megamachines next step. what your looking at is a big pcb board that houses 16 VCA's and an LED backlight sequencer. this will be in charge of routing each gameboy in a row to either channel 1 or channel 2 to be routed to wherever in the analog part of the synth. its not modular as each row needs to be matched, so there will be 6 of these in parallel running up the gameboy megamachines back, 96 VCA's in total in this section of the machine. I decided to buffer the outputs of the VCA's after fredrick scared the life out of me with his common sense, i figured 1 VCA, no need to bother keep it nice and simple keep it under 10 components, but if in some weird twist of fate somethings up with summing 8 or so of these things together and they dont work then im gunna be sorry! so i buffered each of their outputs because it was quicker than breadboarding the whole thing. Which has been fine in the past! for instance the furby travel organ. But maybe that is a no no in circuit design. who knows! i shall find out the hard way haha.
If your interested in the schematic here it is in KiCAD format for you to mess about with, take things from, or find a glaringly obvious mistake of mine! who knows.

to note! still in true look mum style, i still have ommited any sign of decoupling caps and circuit protection. Is it lazyness or productive management? you decide.
As for the next video! it was supposed to be today about MSSIAH on commodore 64! i shot most of the video yesterday, and went home to write the best song i could in an evening on MSSIAH, for the bloody computer to stop working after 5 minutes! and i had no tools to fix it, so i'm swapping out the motherboard today and then getting back on it tonight! hopefully will have the video up tomorrow!
PEACE
:)
