Vlog 53 Bus Board VCA, new simple vca!

so yeah had a change of heart on the bus boards and went full hog, and instead of relays, or even what paul suggested which was analog switches, i ended up going down the VCA route, with 2 VCA's per gameboy to send to 1 of two different audio lines,  going with VCA's mean not just on and offs of the audio can be achieved, everything inbetween can be reached too, im not sure how useful it will be but i figured it was worth having the option! here is a drop box with the Schematic of the VCA in question. all in all your looking at about 10 components for 2 cut down VCA's that are very good, because by design the chips (AS3360's clones of the CEM3360) are already VCA's in a chip!

yes strange ill look into this week when I hit the vca section. its odd it doesn't seem to effect mine like that I a/b'd it however there is a max point where it gets no louder and sort of rolls off the waveform but thats higher than my oscillators. end of this week I should have abnswers

I've been sending regular ol' control voltage into it from a Pure LFO mostly. I've never had any VC issues with any other panels. I've taken a break from this one, but I'm about to get back to it, though I have gone over it pretty well, with not many ideas. Any input would be great. Thanks Sam!

strange. well its on my to do list to revisit this stuff. that is strange. but this may also be down to the voltage your sending into it?? how much voltage are you sending into the control voltage input?

How did it work out for you? Did you ever get it working? I was also wondering about a volume knob. You just put in on the output then? Also, does the VCA just let audio passthrough unaffected if there is no CV?

Thanks for the reply, Sam! Vca part seems to work perfectly. No bleed at all. I just find the output level is at least half of what the sound source is if plugged directly into the mixer. I did add a 100k volume pot on the output..:and i’m also using 2 chips for 4 VCAs from the same power source on the same board. Doubt that would make a difference.

interesting. I hadn't noticed it to be too low.it was a 5v signal around about. how low like very super low ore just a bit low? if super low it may not be working, you may be hearing some bleed from somewhere. but if its a bit low. is this compared to the input signal???

Hey! Anyone have luck with this? Mine works, but I find the output volume very low? Any ideas?
