So im currently putting together the video i did on the modification of the bruel and kjaer 2113 to modify it into a fixed filter bank, which kind of takes form as a sort of 1/3 octave 30 band resonant EQ. Heres just a bit of the sounds its making!
The video includes the build process and the thinking.... the modification is literally just that simple mixing circuit i shared a few days ago!
WHY SO MANY BIG GREEN BOXES WITH KNOBS?? well i must admit, i have spent a lot of time in the last 4 or so months hunting them down. a couple of them were as cheap as £20!! My dad found a couple too. Most of them were untested, and i've only had to do a handful of repairs.... and only 1 of them i cant seem to get working.
So the plan with these is quite unclear at the minute, Hoping for if the museum of everything else happens they will be quite an interactive feature.... For people to play on. the plan is to fit Stepper motors to each of the big knobs and have them surround you in a way... not sure yet exactly...
But i will be doing a lot of videos on modifying these to make them fit for a big project.
As an avid hoarder, i'm on the lookout for closing down or refitted science labs.. still on the hunt. take unwanted things and house them in this possible "museum of everything else" pipe dream
Maybe enough of these bruel and kjaers and you could build a whole god damn house.

The auction had ended or been taken down yesterday. However, it appears to have gone back up, now for £50 cheaper than before.
