SUPER SIMPLE MIXER LAYOUT

hey so Calvin K expressed interest in this so here we go. super simple mixer, ive done this layout for a video im putting up next week on that big green fixed filter bank i built. all it is doing is taking all of the filter cards from the filter analyzer below it and mixing them together with volume controls! the above is a layout of how simple it is!

Todays video (if i get it done in time! it may be tomorrow oops) is drawing with a theremin! haha, yes.... drawing with a theremin, i tell you what! it was damn hard.

In other news, revision 2 of farting pcbs will turn up this week, ill finally make one for Kursa as the first one was too unreliable. i didnt want to send him one and it didnt work!! then i will share the stripboard layout and also work out what to do with the PCB's

In other news, im waiting on some super tiny pcb's from my projects, my plan is to pop up on the shop 1 new project every few weeks of super simple pcb's very small. also offer some sort of patreon discount i havent worked it out yet aha.

but yes!! I HOPE WE ARE ALL GOOOOOOOOOOD????

I built an 8 channel stereo version of this. Works great! No issues with noise.

ahah okay, i will debug it ! (or start over) thanks for your attention however ! :)

yeah double check it I recon, there is definitely something not right. im not sure what to suggest though! when it is working correctly there is no background noise at all. good luck±!

ok, just did it, there is no difference, but maybe the circuit is just very sensitive to magnetical fields because it just do a quiet noise when i but my hands near to the pots... i will try to box it in a aluminium case or something

all right, trying it now, let you know quickly ! and yes, i already add ground wires (pots to ground and jacks, i build it in a cardboard box hihi)

yes. add a wire from the black wires connecting to the pots and ground

very strange! I dont get any noise at all when all of them are set to zero. id suggest to try adding 47pf or 100pf capacators between pins 1 and 2 and 6 and 7, or maybe there is a mistake. it sounds like maybe there is an offset from a joint not making contact. aha I have just realised a problem with the pic. the black wires connecting to the potentiometers. is that connected to ground? im sorry it should be, connect those to ground you might have luck!@

mmmh, that's a really noisy mixer, build it today (2x6 inputs) and it destroy all signal passing throught it, with a large amount of electric noise when pots turn off ... is there any way to improve it ? maybe adding diodes instead of resistors to avoid interferences between each sources in a first time ? but hey, it works reeeally nice with benjolin by adding lot of textures and grumpy bass, i'll keep it more like a distortion unit :)
