what a bleeding long day. been at it since 9 this morning turning a mangle of breadboard wires into a cohesive "fart box". its midnight now. Its now fully assembled!
BUT! i haven't turned it on yet. Because i knew id need to go sleep soon after, and if i powered it up and it isn't working properly, i will get all moody and not leave until i've probably made it worse whilst trying to remedy the issue in a frustrated haze!
So i'm leaving now not knowing, which i think is probably better than knowing it doesn't work!
I have big plans for fart box. I think i've stumbled onto something pretty funky. reminiscent of a musical beefy analog bass synth that can also if required quite easily go into a rather messy benjolin territory and everything inbetween.
If indeed i get in tomorrow morning and It miraculously works.. or only take a little while to get working, ill be shooting the video on it.
Then! i will finally get back to gameboy mega machine (i try not to stop procrastinative tangents like this, because its like sort of strategic procrastination, because i know i have to do the gameboy mega machine, so ill spend most of a 72 hour stint designing a synth voice to avoid the boredom of modding gameboys haha).
But! whilst this is happening i will make sure i document it. with a good clear stripboard layout. aswell as layouts for the super simple Attack Release envelope generator in here and proper dirty VCA (same as in synth bike 3.0, literally a transistor).
Also on top of this ill be making a PCB (well actually a set). ill try bash that together this weekend. but best laid plans and all that! who knows haha.
