The Next Step In The Gameboy Megamachine Saga

So i haven't been able to work on the gameboy mega machine for the past 2 and a half weeks as i have been working away from home, which has been driving me mad!!! I did manage to bring some of the boring samey circuits to solder in the mornings but thats not too interesting.

So on friday ill be back on the gameboys. Im at a fork in the road where i can go down a number of avenues. so i figured why not leave it up to a vote!

Do i :-

-1 Spend the next week or so making the other 40 gameboy panels, so it starts to look a bit more like what it will! with the sheer amount of gameboys hangin out.

-2 Look at the analog parts of the gameboy mega machine which will in turn have a super simple envelope generator and a super simple VCA circuit figured out and a vid for each of em in this gameboy mega machine saga. The steps in this will probably go 1 Figure out envelope generator, Build polyphonic filter setup.

-3 Do 1 more row of gameboys for a few days then do the envelope generator! best of both worlds

Comments

haha yes! indeed. but the finished product is gunna be the funnest part haha

most definitely makes sense! just some modules to test may require each of the rows to be up and running, so another reaso why building another row of gameboys is i can re jig them so i have 6 gameboys going up so then i have the 6 voices.... (but the 5 top voices are only 1 gameboy) so i can fully test the analog stuff

I voted (option 2) based on what I think would be a logical way to build it. For each row, build every mod/module that you could think of. And then the additional rows would all be straightforward builds without having to take anything apart.
