Narrative Declaration Update! - August 2022

Sorry for the lack of updates, everyone! We've been super busy in the background. Ordering art, getting shows ready, making monsters, items, spells, and more! Here are some of the things we've been working on.

Front Page of Twitch Stream! WE NEED YOU!

Next month on September 10th, we will be on the front page of Twitch! We'd love it if you could attend the live stream and show your support!

One of the biggest challenges in running this show is letting others know it exists, so having our fantastic community in chat welcoming potential new viewers would help us lift off! It will be me(Zoran), OnCallGM, and the Rotgoons are going through our The Perfection Infection Rotgrind Adventure!

We're looking for a video editor!

Thanks to your generous support, we have been staying around our USD 4200 goal to hire a video editor! We've been in desperate need of this for a long while, and we're excited to start looking for someone to bring on the team!

New Shows are coming to the channel!

Those who saw the session 0 streams and Youtube videos of the Rotgoons and Abomination Vaults crew will know we were trying them out to see if they would be a good fit for the channel. We're happy to say that they love you guys back, and we will be producing these shows sometime next month.

Rotgoons Campaign

Rotgrind: Hunt in Amari will be renamed Rotgoons (thanks, Jer!). This adventure will take our band of chuckleheads through the Pawns Pilaster in Outset. Deep inside the Sinkhole, where the gangs battle for supremacy, citizens in ally ways wait in ambush, and the dwellings everyone lives in hang on via ram shackled wooden huts and old infrastructure, ever dangling over the endless pit in the city.

We heard your feedback in terms of player interaction and the overlay setup! And so, we've decided to keep what isn't broken by making a personalized overlay that shows you the action and information you need.

We've heard the feedback everyone had about the Vtuber avatars, as I agree that it's hard to tell who is sometimes talking. I think it's because small anime mouths are hard to see when so much else is on the screen. So FroggyLoch has been extremely generous in offering to create custom Vtuber-like avatars for each player. Hopefully, we can alleviate some of the concerns people had by making them more compatible with our overlay and making it easy to distinguish who is talking!

This campaign will also be behind the timed gate along with the Rotgrind campaign. So the first five episodes will be accessible to everyone, while episodes six and further will be behind the timed gate process.

The Abomination Vaults

The Abomination Vaults Campaign is soon to begin! For this campaign, I do not plan to put this behind the timed gate, as this is something I want to do weekly to keep content flowing on the channel. So if you're interested in a more rules-focused dungeon crawl adventure with some hilarious friends, this is the campaign for you!

Be aware that this campaign is not within the Rotgrind universe. The Abomination Vaults is an official adventure from Paizo, and as much as converting all of the lore to be in Rotgrind is possible, it is a colossal amount of work. So please consider this campaign as extra fun content to tide you over, as we plan to stream this weekly!

We do not have a definite date yet on when these two campaigns are live. Currently, the tentative dates are in September.

Notice of Podcast Adjustments!

I will be looking for other podcast hosting solutions that better facilitate our number of shows. We've been using Podbean, which has been okay, except it is wildly expensive if we want to keep our podcasts separate. Meaning each show to have its own feed will cost us a hefty monthly fee.

So if you seen that I haven't added the session 0s to podcast, this is why.

I have not made the transition yet, but keep your eyes on Patreon, Discord, and Twitter for when we announce the shift, as you may or may not have to change your RSS feed.
