Castle Courtyard

A small castle with a courtyard that has the potential for a variety of hooks.  

Maybe the party has to recover a very specific ledger kept in the Arbiters personal library.  

Perhaps the corrupt Baron has called the entire town to listen to him speak from his balcony.  While all eyes are on him, other plans are put into motion in town.  

You could even take some inspiration from a certain book/tv show, setting up an ambush in the feasting hall.  The rafters above are normally used to maintain the chandelier and for minstrels, but I am sure there are other uses.

Once your party has earned some renown, you could also reward them with a new home.  Then, when the local lich gets mad at them, throw an undead horde at the castle and watch them panic to defend it.

The fastest path to wealth is to be born to rich parents. The fastest path to renown is through battle. Branko Lomari adheres to these rules well. Luckily for him, a father's love is not a necessary requirement for fame or fortune. As the second son to a wealthy titled noble with significant land holdings, Branko always had to fight a little harder for his father's affection in the shadow of his older brother. 

Branko's father treated him poorly, for Branko never seemed to possess the aptitude for high politics that his father valued so highly. As a result, Branko suffered through many years of verbal and physical abuse that never seemed to be directed at his brother. Over the years, Branko became cold and cruel as he turned his rage inward. Skilled in combat from an early age and lusting to prove himself, Branko was put in charge of a small military company as a young man in the midst of one of his father's wars. Branko performed admirably, taking significant land in the name of his father and earning himself the title "Branko the Brute". His father, eager at an opportunity to distance himself from the son he always viewed as inferior, "rewarded" Branko by naming him the baron of a small, distant township, far from the capital city. Ashamed of his status but simultaneously too proud to reject it, Branko now rules over the town with an iron fist, subjecting its populace to his emotional outbursts and reckless governance.
