Or perhaps they stand in front of an imposing mausoleum in the city graveyard. Where exactly this small tomb is located is up to the DM — what is clear in any case are the sounds of argument and physical confrontation. The party hears the commotion before they see it; indignant yelling followed by the sounds of stone crashing into stone. The two gargoyles locked in a wrestling match are a bizarre spectacle, as one gargoyle, stout, fat, and covered in moss, attempts to pin a taller, thinner gargoyle to the ground while feeding him punches. They stop immediately when they notice the players, picking themselves up off the ground and flashing greedy smiles in the party's direction.
