Years ago, the small pond near the village of Sweethovel was a popular spot for children, quiet reflection, and shared recreational activities. That all ended one day when a mother named Henrietta, distracted by an argument with her husband, was not able to prevent her daughter from tragically drowning. Paralyzed by shame and grief, she told nobody of her daughter's death – the girl's body was left to rest at the bottom of the pond. The grief in her heart quickly became so cold and heavy that she took her own life at the pond a few days later. The loss of her daughter had left her so anguished that this grief persisted after death, spilling out of her body and casting a frozen blight upon the pond.
Her ghost continues to linger, and her wailing cries ceaselessly persist day in and day out. Perhaps the villagers have finally found someone who can help, or perhaps the village was abandoned, and the players have now stumbled upon what remains. Can they put Henrietta's soul to rest?
