As the sun begins to set on another day of arduous travel through the woods, the party notices the flickering of firelight in the distance. As they approach, sounds of laughter and revelry can be heard, and the smell of roasting meat is carried pleasantly on the evening breeze. Nestled among long-forgotten stone ruins is a campsite where a group of vagrants have settled temporarily on their journey between villages. They are partying the evening away and are happy to include any wandering strangers with the promise of hot food and a shared story. But beware, for these jackalweres in disguise are always looking to deceive easy prey. If the party isn't careful, they could soon find themselves roasting over the open fire - for the jackalweres require cooked flesh to feed to their Bag of Devouring.
