Harry's Superhero Name (GotSIS)
Added 2024-03-03 04:22:13 +0000 UTCAlright folks, I hope you have read the latest chapter of GotSIS. I wrote in the AN that from the next chapter we will be officially entering into the Marvel events. Not the main MCU just yet, but it will be in the ballpark of Marvel Studios.
So, I feel that it is time that we begin thinking of Harry's Avenger title/ callsign/ superhero name.
Since you all are patrons and as usual, get the first say, I am asking you to drop your preferences for the name in the comments.
The final name will be decided by a poll which I will post in the next couple of months when I have sufficient names I like, which will also be the point where the story will enter the main MCU (Iron Man 1 and beyond).
So, let's go! Drop those names in the comments and feel free to drop more than one!

Horizon and Merlin are both good names imo. Atlas is a good name but it doesn't really fit tbh. Dr. Fate is already taken and so are all the DC names. Guardian is in the running though. Also, no to all the '___ one' names unfortunately. Let there only be the Ancient One. As for the Sanskrit names... Prashant suggested a brilliant name: Mrityunjaya. It has a deep meaning and fits very well for Harry in several ways. For now, Horizon will go onto the list. I believe Merlin is already up there (someone else suggested it too).

So a name that doesn't give his secrets away and let them play a guessing game. He can even have a hero persona of prankster/troll or Serious no nonsense hero. Master (because of his two such titles), Mysterious One, Verdant One, (Definitely influenced by Ancient One especially after this chapter, mirroring her name), or any such adjective with one at the end like Endless One, Imperishable One (Enduring forever) etc. (What about Sirius one lol) Endless - cheeky reference to DC’s seven Endless Golden Dawn - to inspire hope and colour of astral projection and dimensional energy. Also new beginnings / era. Horizon - Inspirational hero name - a hero people can rely upon. ‘Hope is always on the horizon.’ Harry is sincere enough to say this without it being cheesy or meaningless or rhetoric. Dr Fate - with soul stone Harry is sort of healer/doctor and also reference to his (Fate’s) Chosen One title Finis - Latin for Close, end, purpose or extreme limit - Reference to ‘I open at close’’ and non obvious reference to infinity. Enigma - simple superhero name, everyone keeps wondering what the hell is his superpower or what's the limit like Agent 13 everytime he makes an appearance. Doesn't give away his power so good that way. Atlas - because of the burden and also vauge but cool hero name. Merlin (obviously that's what Tony will call him along with Gandalf/Wizard - in a way that will confuse those who know about sorcerers yet not really flash his secrets out loud - also Harry could have fun with this name)* Iconic non-marvel superhero names like Superman, Invincible, Shazam, Guardian, Avatar, All Might etc. Vague but very memorable superhero names. Some Sanskrit based ones - Har (means Hinge, short of Harry and also Hindu destroyer deity Shiva), Amit (boundless) , Kal (time/end) , Om (Ātman, Brahman all-encompassing one) So KalOm pronounced/written by the press as Callum (from wiki Callum is a Scottish Gaelic name that commemorates the Latin name Columba, meaning 'dove'. Callum was popular among early Christians because the dove was a symbol of purity, peace and the Holy Spirit.) *- If he didn't have soul stone to guard, Sorcerer Stone or Philosopher Stone with him wearing Dumbledore getup and various stone jewelry for confusing his enemies into thinking that yes, the power is in those ten rings. Lmao.
