Update
Added 2024-08-30 13:17:33 +0000 UTCIt's that time again. I must tell you new content is but a smidgen outside the walls, but at least it came out as intended and is ready for a new character (sorry it's a chick) and a new road block.
This update is mostly about bug fixes and the monster controller.
Locked room:
Fixed a lot of issues in the locked room, including the scene where the guy melts, which was crap. He melts now. It isn't crap. Other sundry bugs throughout.
Finished its artwork. Added some dialog.
You should be able to enter it correctly if you're killed.
Made it so you spawn at the entrance if you get killed there. Better! I wanted to make it so you spawn at the midpoint if you get killed after it, but it would trap the player. It's not my purpose to work you to death, listen to the ladies and you will live.
Monster Controller (lots of procrastination with that, I hate the thing):
Made many changes that have me biting my nails but everything seems to work. Debugging this is difficult, I have to write code just to figure out what's going on. The goats are just a little freaky now. I may have to just slow them down. But I am less embarrassed by them, which feels nice.
Goats can now bash you when you are blocking a door they are chasing you through. It costs 10% of your health. I had to find a solution for the player blocking the door indefinitely.
Because this update is a groaner, I will make the month free.
In order to get a public update out soon, I need to add jobs to VT's options. The demo is supposed to end at the Chapel's exit, blocking the bazaar, so I need content on the left. The map is shaped like a big 'H' with the West tower and the dungeons and mines, etc. on the left, the bazaar (and areas to be finished) are the horizontal part, and the North tower and vaults are on the right. I don't have notes or plans for VT's side-quest jobs. I gotta come up with dat.
