Fall Update
Added 2023-10-15 19:07:24 +0000 UTCHello everyone! This is a quick update on progress and such.
The conversion of both mainline games (Lost in Laminate, Stables of Cyn) to a new image format has been completed. If you've noticed any images starting to go wonky now that Imgur is purging proper kink at random, there are testing versions available for both on the Torean Discord (linked at the start of both games). That testing is largely complete, but there are chunks of each game unfinished that I want completed before releasing them generally (and updating my site). Progress on that is slow, as I've been focusing my attentions elsewhere on:
1) Exploring/testing Narrat, a new game engine/builder with some interesting functionality. Much better inventory/quest/and character management than I can build from scratch in my games.
2) Further designs for Second Life (Stables of Cyn's suits have been a big success there!) I'm in the process of creating a series of buildable outfits there, like a mini catalogue, that have some lore attached for roleplaying ideas. Fun stuff!
3) I've done some initial prototyping of a Genesys RPG adaption for the Torei setting. This has been a longer term goal for me, but I think the narrative-based system would work great at adding some numbers/dice roles to scenes. I've used it before privately, great success!
4) I also recently had to test my backup system with the motherboard in my main PC failed. Great news there too, no data loss occurred.
As always, this Patreon continues to operate like a tip-jar. There are no release schedule assumptions, so stick around as little or as long as you like, but I appreciate the tip either way! Your support is always wonderful.

Super big fan of yours eager to support you and your work! Sometimes I wish I have the power to choose what to forget, to again and again experience what I felt when I first read/played "Lost In Laminate". Looking forward to more of your works! Also would be an honor to do a collab with you in the future.

2023-10-22 11:04:39 +0000 UTCDisco Elysium and Baldur's Gate 3 have convinced me dicerolls can make a game's story exciting. It's easy to just hit the back arrow on the current games until you get it right, which is convenient and all, but I think there's something to be said for rolling with the punches, which is easier to do if it's a bit more gamified with dicerolls. If it's easy to work with, I can imagine Narrat making the games better, especially since they have all these huge branches and sort of character building already. Anyway, best of luck with your work!

2023-10-20 21:07:46 +0000 UTCI'd be interested in seeing a RPGMaker version of a Torei game, allowing for more...well...rpg elements.
