The New Avatar and its effects
So... The new avatar is Done and made its debut on the 15th of April and is doing actually WAY better than I originally expected.
Twitch Viewership has nearly doubled, my Twitter has seen around 130 new followers and thanks to some amazing friends I'm pushing for more collaborations and pushing for more streams, more regularly and for longer.
Why the Title?
With the new avatar, I want to push with a more consistent format for my Streams... This means moving away from IRL Face cam and pushing more into Vtubing... Me being me, however... I don't want to half-ass things... With a healthy amount of research, Time and a CRAP load of caffeine I ultimately decided to get myself an IphoneX (you can see it in the picture) for Face tracking..
The phone will also serve as a Work phone to make calls and other things... Thankfully I got it cheap as it's second hand.
Why an IphoneX?
well, IphoneX is the oldest model with 3d depth face scanning that can be used for facial tracking... I can then send that Information to Luppet (Vtubing software) and output my avatar to stream with accurate facial tracking for when I play games outside of VR.
For in VR I will be using SUVA to remove the Avatar disconnect I would normally get
I'm keeping the Iphone Face tracking setup a secret for now and pushing to debut it early next month, It requires a lot of work to setup because of ALL the visems that need creating, however, I don't think it will take me super long, maybe a few days of heads-down work.
Next Months Goals
my only goal next month is to expand my VR space and hopefully redecorate my room, I have been wanting/needing to do this forever now.
Doing this will hopefully improve my sleep and the increased play space for VR should also make things more comfortable for me.
I was planning on launching the new Merch store, however, the cost required for the Website isn't small so I will be pushing to save up and do that ASAP... in the mean time i will be working on merch designs, talking with some people over at Printful about some stuff and updating the Bodypillow design to reflect the new OC design.
