You'll be able to use the gems you pick up in levels to buy some no-gameplay-impact stuff. Firstly, hats. Recolors of the player character as well, probably! It's not totally done yet, i'm gonna make it like jump off his head when he does a melee attack or gets hit, but even with the raw offsets put in it's pretty cute <3
Also got the background of this area ready* for the trailer, finally
