Disrobe

Edit: I went back in and blurred the selection region, and got rid of the selection aliasing. It's still present within her coloring, but i want your opinions on this extra step to the method.

This was an experiment with coloring directly under the sketch.

I sketched at the old sketch res, blew it up to the full res, erased some of the construction lines and then just went to town coloring under it.

It's a little crusty, the whole thing took me like 1.5 hours? it's real fast.

What do you think? this is a possible way to speed up future comic production.

It's something to try! I've found in my attempts at that, that when colors have a hard edge under any kind of translucent ink, it creates this kind of gross halfway line inside the ink i try to avoid. the hard aliasing is a no go, i think i might be onto something with the blurred selection though.

Personally when I select on “fuzzy” lineart I shrink the selection by 1~2 pixels, because the fuzzy lineart being the semi transparent edge looks better than the hard aliasing, imo. But the blurring method certainly works as well!

Seeing the results despite some of the quirks, it doe seem worthwhile to see if you can fine tune it. If it works out, big gain, and if it doesn't... well at least you tried!
