WIP : Passiontail Isle 01 - thumbnails 01-08
Added 2021-02-18 20:17:44 +0000 UTCHey! I worked on this last night, and today, and got this far. about 40 minutes per page, which isn't bad considering i'm grabbing background shots for final cams later, and lettering the whole thing!
As always, i've lettered the thumbnails, but they're so small they're not really readable. when i've got the whole thing together and blown up into final size docs, it'll just expand and be clear.
From page 09 to 16 it's largely the same as it was in the original comic (I'll be drawing over my original thumbnails to make the changes, and tweak pages / compositions as need be), and then from 17-26 it's all new stuff. And the final page is pretty similar to the original as well.
Once the thumbnails are all together, it's just the tedium of moving them all into the big finish page doc, fixing the lettering, and then, finally, we can get back to finished pages.

Oh my gosh I'm sorry for pointing that out..I do know perspective is a real shedog to deal with..

2021-02-20 13:26:16 +0000 UTCI mean, I must emphasize that these are thumbnail pages, this is a step below us catch, and that’s a complicated, at least for me, perspective shot. It will have to be adjusted a bit before the final art as in, it’s just supposed to convey the composition of the page and the general placement and poses of the characters. Sorry for any strange wonkyness in this stage! im glad you’re liking it so far though!

Her face on page 6 is most striking and attention catching but I also really like that laughing expression on page 5 where I THINK it said "and then he said" - the jaw is tricky for me personally to get right but she simply looks flawless there. Took me a while to understand the proportions on the last page but it clicked after a second and I was awed once more. I really like how quickly things are moving and I really like what I see! (But do rest up once in a while won't you?)

You know, always cool to see lots of critters doing their own things. But I also know doing them is a right pain so I understand why you wouldn’t want to do that now when the creatures you’d use aren’t even done being designed yet.
