2019 In Review

Alright! While I know that there are a couple weeks left in 2019, I figured it'd be fun to take a look back at what I was able to make in the course of a year.

So, let's start with the Patreon Figures.

The star of the show this year was the comics. Thanks to you guys, I was able to make these three comics. 44 finished pages! Fishy feeling will probably be finished this year, but it might slip into early 2020.

I'm excited for Chapter 2, and the Pokejobs project that'll come to fruition next year!

Following Comics, there are Poll Winners and other 'Finished Images', as well as the Sketches.

Polls took a little bit of a backseat to the comic work this year, but by the numbers there was one every 3 weeks. Not too bad! Next year i'd like to hold more polls, but it's a balancing act with the comic work. Maybe as things grow around here i'll be able to spend another whole day on patreon work, and we can turn up the output there?

And of course, the Sketches. Probably my favorite part of this is being able to just spend some time drawing whatever comes to mind. Though i will admit, i seem to have a couple themes i rely on a bit heavily (Human(m) Penis / Mon(f) - blowjob comes to mind), but for the sheer number of sketches, i think a little retread is gonna happen.

I'm really just happy that i have a space to experiment a bit, while making stuff that makes you guys happy <3

Lastly, for Patreon-Specific content, there were the animations i made.

Honestly, i'd have loved to have done more of these, but the comics simply had to stay on schedule. Frame by frame animation like this is really fun, but also really, really labor intensive. And wrist intensive, on top of that, ha. I wish i had used the hard inks on the Jenny/Dan one, so it looked a little more 'finished', but hey, what can you do.

Next year, I'd be interested in spending a chunk of time per month on an animation? I really love making this stuff, and generally it draws a ton of traffic. I'm curious to hear what you guys think on the subject. Again, all my patreon time is locked to a couple days a week, so if i'm working on one thing, it means i'm not working on another. But maybe budgeting some time just for animation would be worth it.

Commissions Segment

Alright, let's keep this quick, as this post is already running a little too long.

There were 3 this year. VIR, which the client put on hiatus, but will be resumed at some point (?)

The Whole Experience, which part of me feels was intended to be a sketch comic from the get go, but the client may revisit and have me ink/color the thing properly. Personally i like my sketch-only comics, but they definitely don't bring in the traffic that colored, finished stuff does.

And then lastly, Natural Behaviors. This one is the shortest in scope, but is lined up to be finished, hopefully in January.

Out of all of them, i think people enjoyed, or at least were the most vocal about enjoying Very Important Research? So it's a shame that's the one that was cut short, but maybe it'll make a comeback in 2020

Next up, Sponsored Images and general Hourly Images.

Some real fun ones in here. My favorite is probably that charizard/charmander comic page, or maybe the riolu/rattata pic next to it, but they were all fun to work on. And the sponsored images, of course, were all a pleasure. I really love that pidgeot, though~

Lastly, there are the Sketch Sessions, which by volume are my most popular commission type.

I mean damn, look at that! There's so much art there! So many good moments captured in a big, sticky grid <3 My favorite stuff is maybe the Human/Rattata one? Or maybe the human/riolu one? The typhlosion/umbreon(oc) one also had a couple really fun pics in it. Shit i can't really decide, I love so many of these.

They're always a blast to do, and it's really rad they're as popular with people as they are. I'm looking forward to doing a lot more next year, and I hope you guys look forward to seeing them!
