EDIT : actually this thread is a hell of a ride. Patreon changed their bank to the UK, from the US apparently? Which means suddenly it's a strange international charge, and banks automatically block those, which is why it's coming up as declined. People should still be able to authorize the charge with their banks, but apparently it's also causing complications with payouts FROM patreon, to creators? So it's just payment processing problems all around i guess.

Apparently it's a pretty widespread issue, with peoples' banks assuming the charge is fraudulent. If this is the case with you, and you'd like to rectify it, they're asking people to double check their payment information, or to contact their banks and authorize the charge.

I won't tell anyone what to do, but I felt it was reasonable to let people know this was going on.
