I found myself adrift in a liminal world, where the boundaries between water, sky, and being seemed to dissolve. Reclining with nothing to shield me but the vastness around, I gazed upward, surrendering to the infinite expanse above. In that moment, I felt stripped of every pretense, every distraction—just a soul laid bare, vulnerable and open. The water cradled me, endless and untamed, a mirror of life’s depths and uncertainties.
And then, there it was—a flying fish, hovering above me, its form and color a reflection of my own. It shouldn’t have been there, an impossible creature suspended in the sky, yet it moved with a grace that defied reason. Its presence felt like a message, a reminder of something transcendent, a bridge between what is earthly and what is beyond. Our eyes met, and in that silent gaze, I felt a profound connection, an unspoken dialogue between kindred spirits separated by realms yet united by something deeper.
The shared hue of my form and the fish seemed to echo a truth I could only feel: that I belonged to the water, the sky, and the fish as much as they belonged to me. We were all part of a boundless, eternal cycle, moving through time and existence, leaving ripples that would outlast us.
In that stillness, I realized there was movement, and in the fleeting, I saw timelessness. This moment, this connection, was a reminder that the threads binding humanity, nature, and the universe are infinite. In our essence, we are all eternal, and I could feel it in the wake of that transcendent gaze.
