Keys To The Conscious & Subconscious
Added 2022-03-08 19:36:32 +0000 UTCConsciousness is the foundation of metaphysical knowledge. So it is of utmost importance that we develop a solid understanding of what consciousness is and how we are subject to it.
Our minds are split into two main categories. The conscious mind and the subconscious mind. Both minds have their own distinct properties and use cases.
In today's article, we will be looking at these two minds in great detail and the keys to understanding them.
The Conscious Mind
First of all, it is key you understand that we are all one consciousness having different human experiences. Our souls are all interconnected, we are all merely manifestations of the same source. There is one infinite intelligence which is the creator and we are all manifestations of this creator. I will go more in-depth on the subject of the creator in a later article, but for now it is important you understand this and we will be returning back to this when we discuss the subconscious mind.
I like to use the example of computers/robots when it comes to the conscious mind as the two are very similar. When you ask someone, 'What's the difference between a robot and a human?', their answer is usually that a robot lacks a soul whereas the human doesn't. But, what does this mean?
It means that the conscious mind operates just like a computer system. It is subject to following the information it receives and the rules it is given, it has no ability to do anything else other than the aforementioned. Whereas the idea of a soul shows us we also have an interesting ability to 'display life' and our intuition allows us to receive answers not present to us consciously.
Put more simply, the main difference between a human and a computer/robot is the ability to transcend the programming given. Robots are completely subject to their programming, whereas humans have the ability to transcend it as well as follow it.
The conscious mind works in the foreground. It is the mind we are most aware of and it handles our day-to-day thoughts, circumstances and emotions. Typically, most people's conscious minds are reactive rather than proactive which causes them to be stuck in the feedback of loop of being a 'victim of circumstances'.
This is what leads the masses to stay suck in their situations and, in some worse cases, spiral down even further. The conscious mind can either be a tool that reacts to what is in front of it, or a tool to plan ahead. The masses react, embody their circumstances and accept them as final. The few who achieve what they really want out of life do not give in to their circumstances, they push through and plan ahead with a vision in mind to work towards.
The conscious mind must be used as a tool to programme the subconscious mind. However, it can act as a wall that defends information from entering the subconscious. This is why repetition is so key. Repetition can help bypass the defences of the conscious mind and enter the subconscious. This is one of the ways we can plant ideas into the subconscious mind.
Finally, it must be understood that the conscious mind looks at each circumstance as if it were unique. It has the tendency to react to each circumstance as if it were new and has no connection to ourselves. As students of metaphysics we know this to be an illusion. All our circumstances are interlinked with our minds as the physical is merely an effect of the mental. We must get past these illusions and take responsibility and accountability when necessary.
The Subconscious Mind
The subconscious mind works in the background, it is the mind we are least aware of and it handles long-term thoughts, circumstances and emotions. Nervous cognitive neuroscientists have shown that 95% of our consciousness is the consciousness of the subconscious mind. From our knowledge of how the subconscious creates our reality, it is then reasonable to state that 95% of our life is due to what we have within our subconscious mind.
The subconscious mind is the part of my computer/robot analogy that amazes us. It gives us life, it shares with us answers that we are not consciously aware of (intuition) and it brings our thoughts into physical reality.
When someone doubts the power of the subconscious mind, I simply tell them to stop digesting their food, or stop their blood flow, or to reproduce muscle tissue. It is then quickly realised how little conscious control we have over our own bodies! Without the power of the subconscious, our bodies would be unable to function, let alone create our desired reality. We must respect the tremendous capacity of the power that dwells within us to give life and create reality. We must rid of our ignorance and seek to understand it so we can successfully use it in our desired ways.
What is primarily accepted by the subconscious mind as fact will determine the more influential parts of our lives. So, if one's subconscious mind is attuned to the idea that it is hard to make money, they will find themselves lacking it. However, if one's subconscious mind sees wealth as a birthright and as normal, you can be sure they'll have no problem attracting it.
Most people do not grow up rich and most families are not rich. Therefore it is very common for most people to have limiting beliefs about wealth and ignorance to how to attract/maintain it. It is also common for people to even come to hate the wealthy through ignorance manifesting as jealousy/envy/resentment, this only puts people further away from the attainment of wealth.
To successfully utilise the subconscious mind, we must become aware of the limiting beliefs we have within it. For some of you it may be more than limiting beliefs, it may be experiences of severe poverty that have rooted deep within your subconscious mind. It is imperative you remove these thought-weeds from your mental garden and seek to plant new seeds. Seeds that correspond to your desired reality; love, wealth, gratitude, abundance, compassion, etc.
We can become skilled at this through consistent meditation. Meditation allows us to build a relationship between the conscious and subconscious mind. We can bring our limiting beliefs/experiences to the conscious (from the subconscious), understand/acknowledge them, and then allow them to leave and make room for new thoughts/beliefs. This takes time and can be emotionally painful but is necessary. I have previous articles uploaded on the subject of meditation and I will be bringing out more in future. This Patreon contains an abundance of powerful metaphysical knowledge for you to study and utilise, make the most of it!
I previously stated how the conscious mind perceives individual circumstances. It should be important to note that the subconscious does not see each circumstance as unique, but that each circumstance follows certain universal laws. This is why an understanding of universal laws is key, as we can utilise them to correspond with the nature of our subconscious.
Finally, I want to bring us back to the initial point I made regarding consciousness; we are all one consciousness having different human experiences. How you feel about others is actually how you feel about yourself. If you harbour any jealousy/envy/resentment towards others and wish for their downfall or any type of negativity to happen to them, you are also wishing that upon yourself. You should know how what we put out comes back to us, whether you want to name this the law of karma, the law of rhythm or the law of attraction, either way it is universal law. We must only wish the best for others and wish to see them achieve great success. If you wish failure upon others, do not be surprised when it comes knocking on your door. This is also the Golden Rule, 'Treat others how you wish to be treated." This is universal law, obey and respect it at all times.
I hope this article has provided you with an abundance of knowledge regarding the conscious and subconscious minds. Have a blessed week, family 👑
