The Principle of Cause & Effect

"Every Cause has its Effect; every Effect has its Cause; everything happens according to Law; Chance is but a name for Law not recognised; there are many planes of causation, but nothing escapes the Law." - The Kybalion.

One of the most famous Hermetic Principles; The Principle of Cause & Effect. This law embodies the sixth Hermetic Principle.

The Plane of Cause

As you should know by now, there are 3 main planes of existence; Physical, Mental & Spiritual.

The plane of all cause is the Mental plane.

All seeds planted and nourished on the Mental will come to fruition on the Physical.

Think of the Mental like a garden. Anything that takes root there will grow and express itself. It is in a constant phase of change and growth, it is always seeking to express itself. It is your job as the gardener to take care and make sure only the best grows and any damaging weeds or problems are cut out.

The Mental plane consists of Conscious Mind and Subconscious Mind.

Conscious Mind is the house of your awareness, logic, ego and your senses. You navigate the Physical plane and identify yourself using your Conscious Mind. You process thoughts, solve problems and have your short-term memories here. Conscious Mind also impresses thoughts, emotions and ideas onto the Subconscious Mind.

Subconscious Mind is your connection to the Source (Ether, Akasha, Quantum Field, God, etc.). Your long-term memories, habits, prompters and beliefs are held here. The Subconscious picks up thoughts mixed with emotion from the Conscious Mind and seeks to express them onto the Physical plane.

Ideas are attracted from the Source to the Conscious Mind, the Conscious Mind then mixes the idea with emotion, the Subconscious Mind recognises this and seeks to express the idea onto the Physical plane.

Everything man-made first originated in the human mind. Everything natural originated in the infinite mind of the Source.

The Mental plane is the plane of causation. Everything 'physical' originated from mind.

The Plane of Effect

The Physical plane is the plane of effect.

Ultimately, all planes are different degrees of mind. They are all mental. The Physical plane is energy at an incredibly low frequency, objects are much denser than thought and it takes much more energy to change objects on the Physical than it does to change thoughts on the Mental.

The Physical is the Mental made manifest. Like I said previously, everything man-made was first made in the human mind and made manifest through 'materialisation'.

Materialisation is when the Subconscious mind has successfully expressed ideas into the Physical world and they are now 'real'. For example, before Apple was a company we buy our phones from, it was just an idea. It wasn't 'real', it was a thought in the human mind. Over periods of consistent thought backed by emotion, eventually the idea expressed itself. Over more periods of consistent thought backed by emotion the company evolved into what it is today and will continue to evolve as it is nourished with more and more thought and emotion.

The difference between the Physical and the Mental is the illusion of time and the density of thought.

The illusion of time is what creates the lag between an idea and an idea manifested. You do not think up a thought once and it instantly appears in front of you, it takes time. How long it takes can be manipulated by the individual manifesting through the use and understanding of Laws such as the Law of Assumption, the Law of Least Effort, etc.

The density of thought refers to A) the size of the idea, and B) how much emotion and attention has been paid to the idea.

A) - the bigger the idea, the more emotion, the more consistent thought, and the more time it requires. Think of it like the difference between building a 2 bedroom semi and a 8 bedroom mansion. It doesn't have to be harder to build, but it will inevitably require more resources and more energy thus leading to more time to build it.

B) - like I just said; bigger the idea, more emotion/attention/energy it requires. Your ideas are literally just like seeds. Usually, the bigger the plant/tree, the more watering and feeding it will need. It's not enough to think of an idea for a billion £/$ company once and then never think about it again, you have to pay consistent attention and emotion to the idea for it to grow and manifest.

Manifestation

As you can clearly see, there are huge differences between the Mental and Physical, but they are also very similar in nature as they are both made up by energy and, ultimately, mental.

If you can comprehend the differences and similarities seamlessly, you will have no problem consciously manifesting reality.

I want to stress an important point that you do NOT try to manifest. Manifesting is not something we can turn on or off, it is the essence of our being, our creative nature. Every second of every day we are manifesting.

The difference is that you guys are learning how to direct your awareness towards it and learning how to do it in your favour. Most are ignorant to this and go through their lives creating their own problems while trying to shift the blame onto somebody else.

You MUST act in accordance with the Laws of each plane. Mentally you are a creator, you are God incarnate in a human body. You possess a degree of the creative power of the universe and people are using this power RIGHT NOW to create all sorts of crazy shit from skyscrapers in Dubai to incredible companies, jets, yachts, everything. It doesn't have to be materialistic either, you can manifest yourself as a champion sportsperson. Do as you please.

But, please remember you have to have all planes aligned. Create on the mental, work on the physical.

I will make a future post about the Spiritual plane as, although it is similar to the other planes, it still has its own Laws that must be adhered to. This is more about the Chakras (or energy centres) and understanding universal love, etc.

Have a blessed day, family 💎
