I've been counting down the days till the middle of June for a while now. Because—it is when ✨ I can spend a lot more time with aaoth 💖🥹

It was... a lot to get here, but I'm glad to be here now. I hope y'all's summer will have the right temperatures and the best times, and I hope aaoth might be a part of that 💝🫣

Which of the ROs are good at singing, if any? And do they have any other talents?

• OK, ok, so—Adler is by far the best! Like by a lot. Adler is also a very, very good dancer 💃🕺 😘

• Helena can do the classic of singing while playing the piano forte. She's very accomplished. Hamish could comfortably sing in a choir, but not a lot more—he's alright. Nor particularly afraid of it, though. H is good at fencing and horseback riding. And tea! Honestly, a lot of things; it's exhausting.

• W... Hmm. I AM DECIDING RIGHT NOW THAT W can sing good-ish! I made them terrible at cooking. I feel like they need something now. They shall be good at it 😌 They are also good at sewing. (so is Adler tbh).

• Ok, I could change my mind about this, but I feel like L can't sing... like, so incredibly tone deaf, and far too aware of the fact... ... What is L good at... Um... Drinking... I'M SORRY I'M DRAWING A BLANK.

"On the topic of letters, Sherlock," Watson begins, while amusing themselves with the letter opener in their dexterous hand. The small blade was as if dancing between their fingers with one hand. "We had yet another complaint from 'The Butlers Association of Great Britain'. They once again express their great displeasure at butlers being mentioned in such a negative light in our stories."

#"Hogwash! You do not write fiction, Watson—" I object to their objection.

— "Hogwash! You do not write fiction, Watson—which frankly renders their complaint entirely ridiculous! Have we not exonerated more butlers from their suspicious masters than we proved to be thugs, accomplices, or thieves? I rather think they should be sending us letters of gratitude. We decreased the number of newspaper headlines! Furthermore, if there is anyone who should know that the upper classes are quick to blame the help, and hence that the butler rarely does the crime they are accused of... Which we prove, Watson! I am sorry, (John/Jane), for letting this matter agitate me yet again. But it is as if these people do not think at all?!"

W: "Oh, you are right—the butlers rarely do seem to be the ones to do it."

MC: "Except..."

W: "Of course... But that was a rather rare event."

MC: "Tremendous case, I have to say."

W: "I remember well. You enjoyed yourself."

MC: "Mmm, tremendously."

Watson simply smiles at that. A lingering, acknowledging thing. As if your momentary reprieve of a good moment together, with them, gives the doctor a warm, pleasant satisfaction, that they savour all to themselves.
