I went shopping (online)!
Added 2019-09-04 03:44:58 +0000 UTCI bought a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro flight stick. But this isn't for videogames. I will be clipping the length of the central spring so the re-centering is greatly reduced and I will use it for puppeting animation data. I might get a 2nd stick as well but I will start with one.
I also bought a "J-Tech Digital Scroll Endurance Wired Mouse Ergonomic Vertical USB Mouse". One of them fancy vertical mice that straightens your forearm as you use it. The middle mouse button on my current mouse has been broken for YEARS. It hasn't been a problem in Lightwave or ZBrush, which is why I didn't replace it long ago. But it has been an issue in other 3D programs. Storm also heavily uses the middle mouse button so... It's time.
Finally I bought a Sony ECMCS3 Clip Style Omnidirectional Stereo Microphone. If I hire some more local talent for recording voice work for my animations this might result in better quality... We'll see.

Every time I see people modding flight sticks for other purposes... like making gear shifts for driving games.. It always seems to be this particular stick.
