Today I was given a surprise.. I got a message from the Lightwave (my 3D software) chat group.. One of the guys there asked me if he could friend me on Steam. I said sure, and then this gift popped on my screen:

Five of the guys in the Lightwave chat room and one of Lightwave's developers pooled their money together to surprise me with this amazing holiday gift! :O
If it is not immediately obvious, this is a 3D paint program. I can paint directly on the 3D models. I could already kinda-sorta do that already with ZBrush but this is on a whole other level. I'm going to have to learn how to use it, but hopefully I can put it to use in my very next animation. This will really enhance my output. -though I may need to buy more memory to fully take advantage of it's power.
Anyway.... How amazingly cool is that!?
