Rambling on About Motion Capture Clean-Up

I transferred the raw motion capture data over to Maria's rig.  I've just finished up cleaning up her legs/feet.  You can see in the attached video the raw mocap data in the light blue skeleton.  I moved it to one side to make things easier to see.

The raw motion capture data is 100% Forward Kinematics(FK).  In other words, the animation is purely rotation values stored in each bone that branches off from the centerpoint at the pelvis.

The final rig uses FK in places but also Inverse Kinematics (IK) in the arms and legs.  I use the boxes to say where I want the feet to go.  This way the feet stay locked in place when they are in contact with the ground.  The raw skeleton tends to waver/wander a bit (as well as occasionally jitter).
