Animation Progress Report

I originally intended to give Naomi Yumi's wig.. And just recolour it to dirty blonde. But since I had a little extra time because my mocap died and since I had this latest version of Lightwave I figured I would go all out and model a new wig for Naomi.. A wig that took advantage of the new feature in the latest version of LightWave I was so generously gifted.
Unfortunately... It did not work out so well.. Once I started rigging her new wig, I saw that it was not working out. I showed this to the software developer and he determined that the physics system does not work so well with small bones.. And the bones in her hair were "very small." Well shit. So I had to go with a plan B. The old method of doing hair sims would not work well with this hair style because it's meant to have a look like it holds it's shape. With the old method they would just droop like wet noodles. BUT.. I think I have a workable solution.. I'll show you more on that later. But for now look at the 2nd attachment if you like to see where I am at.. I am roughly half finished preparing her wig for simulation.
So bad news, but I can make it work. More to come, stay tooned!!!
