Really Cool News Today!

As if today's earlier news with the skin test wasn't cool enough....

I got a really cool surprise today. I was chatting with one of the developers of my 3D software.. I was having some trouble getting the skin simulation working and asking him to help me with it. He was suggesting some alternative options.. Displacement mapping and such.. I told him, "No, I want no compromises if at all possible. I want true skin simulation!"

Anyway in the end I figured the problem out and then shared the solution with him. He told me, "You NEED to get the latest version for your project!"

I said, "Well...yes I will get it eventually, can't afford it quite yet."

Well he just GAVE ME his copy!! That is worth around $350! What a cool guy, eh??

It does have some neat features I will be able to take advantage of.. Probably not for Naomi's first animation, but certainly for the 2nd one. So I won't tease you with what these features are yet. But they are neato. The big features I am waiting for are not out yet.. They will presumably come out later this year. But this is still a SUPER sweet surprise!
