I Had A Dream

I had a dream.

For many years now I have had this dream of creating animated 3D muscular woman characters with ultra-realistic rigging. Creating her from the inside-out by modeling the muscle, fat and bone that function in an anatomically-correct way under the skin. Then the muscles would deform and slide under skin that wraps around them like a glove. I have tried doing this many times in the past. Every time I failed.

Last month I had some ideas I wanted to try (as well as some new software tools)... Thinking I could maybe finally get it working. I knew I could not test this theory until I had every part of her under-structure fully modeled and functional. I have been working at this all month and the longer it was taking the more nervous I was getting that it might not work after all. If it did not work, I would have wasted most of the month with nothing to show for it.

Today I was finally ready. I had all of the elements of her upper torso sculpted and functional. I ran the skin simulation for the first time to see if it would behave like I needed it to.

It's amazing.. Better than I had hoped. She has a quality you never see in other CG characters. It's not perfect yet.. Some tweaks are required, but I am very, very, very, very, very, very, very happy with how it is coming together. Not ready to show a preview yet.. She has no arms! Just a freaking amazing torso.

If you have ever thought about changing your Patreon pledge from $2 to $6, THIS IS THE ONE TO DO IT WITH! I might not be able to show you all a preview before the release as it will probably be a few days late.. But I will if I can.
