Halloween 2019 Seasonal Miniature Suggestion Thread

Comments

I would love to see miniatures for the range of emotion-creatures "The Lost", "The Lonely" etc. I cannot find any good representation and they would fit the theme.

Fabian Gu

Dracolich, please

I Rp

Wendigos &/or Old Ones

Bearbearian

grave stone mimics

Humanoid children in costumes/masks

Neil

How about strahd zombies and stuff like that maybe the broom from the horror themed book

Evil Billy-Goats Gruff. One goat-man rogue, a goat-man barbarian, and an older goat-man shaman.

Jesse Skoubo

A witch themed medusa or a pumpkin king mini of some sort.

QueenTiamat

Goblins wearing crudely made trick-or-treat costumes.

A Ghost would be cool. But why not a classical ghost, like a "ghost of canterville"-type: A dead aristocrat, the family heirloom sword by his side, with cuffs around his neck and arms, whose chains drag over the floor and seep spiritual blood everywhere? With that a class could just be implied, which would make the mini more versatile.

Or appropriately themed bugbears? Like Jack the Ripper styled bugbears lol

Matt

The shadow plane monsters are creepy in their own right

Matt

What if the chair IS the monster? I'm down for a Beauty and the Beast horror adventure, with the PCs trapped in a mansion full of killer decor and a murderous were-beast.

Wodenborn

I loved The Dwarves books! Allthough at the end they just seemed to drag on and on. I should read them again.

Hidde Visser

My daughter just suggested an electric chair, with appropriate monster being in the chair.

Grant Anderson

More witches based off of the Sanderson Sisters from Hocus Pocus

Luke Schoener

More ghosts can never hurt. Ghost warriors, wizards, children

Yesssss! Nigtwalker all the way! I totally love the new walker looks from Mordenkainen's

Nightshades would be awesome! Nightwing, nightwalker, nightcrawler or a nighthaunt.

maybe a scary clown/ rogue themed Player Character

Animated furniture, yass!

Christopher Lee

I really, really want a set of Starspawn.

Dan Layman-Kennedy

scary clown

Lopez999x

A bed mimic

A ManBearPig

Tyler

Some kind of dark druids would be cool for a nod to Halloween's origins as Samhain. Could always do some standing stones as scatter. Banshees, unseelie fae creatures, all that could be fun :)

Carrie Brady

The Erlking.

Fredrect Fanning

can't go wrong with a pumpkinhead!

David Geary

I'm not sure if this monster exists in popuplar culture, but in several novels from Markus Heitz (e.g. "The Dwarves") there are "corrupted" elves called Albs. They ride on unicorns whose horns were taken and corrupted with fresh blood. These "dark unicorns" are called Nachtmahr (probably Nightmare in english) and feed on fresh meat. Their fur turned black and their eyes grow like red charcoals. Maybe something like this? https://www.deviantart.com/aonikaart/art/I-m-your-Nightmare-283018815

Naresea

Rawhead. https://images.app.goo.gl/1QwdKV2W3uQxDfcp8

Fredrect Fanning

The gulthias tree would be so cool!

Bogeyman!

Caleb Longshanks Lee

More lycans, werewolves, etc

STEVEN D PHAM

How about some kids dressed up for Halloween as DnD players/monsters?

Ashley Tattersall

I know it's cheesy, but I want D&D versions of the 4 big bad movie psychos: Jason Voorhees, Michael Myers, Freddie Krueger, and Actual Cannibal Shia LaBouef...

Paul Adams

I think this makes vote # 4 for werewolves

Nicholas Gialloreto

I think building a theme around a classic Halloween story would be cool. Headless Horseman, Coraline, The Monkey's Paw. Something where you can put the D&D spin on it.

Ravens and werewolves are good ideas. Maybe a black cat tabaxi? More hags?

Head(s) In A Jar(s) would be splendid!

Matthew Everhart

The tarrasque or similar in clown makeup.

Angelus

I was about to 2nd (3rd?) Werewolves specifically but then I saw lord Soth and that'd be amazing too

Dismounted Strahd (as previously promised, lol), raven/bat (and swarm), Gulthias Tree, and Vampire Spawn (male and female commoners).

Harry Hoshovsky

A redone phytomancer set would make a great seasonal exclusive, since it's not something people would be asking for the rest of the year

Mlew

• Raven, bat (lone and with swarm) • Scarecrow • Werewolf • Maybe a Grell ?

Mummies, Nosferatu, Spooky goblins ala Scooby Doo. Brain or head in a jar. Frankenstein monster, maybe a whole mad scientist lab for themed clutter. Scarecrows and definitely keen on the creepy clowns idea as well.

Grant Anderson

There's already a selection of vampires and humanoids with vampire options.

Hidde Visser

I second the werewolves! Also would love a scary clown (with a balloon even?) And since I'm running Tomb of Annihilation right now. A undead T-Rex? :D I know it's pretty specific ;)

Hidde Visser

I'd love to see zombie/undead versions of some of the existing PC's, actually.

Matthew Everhart

Take your classic heroes set ( https://printableheroes.com/minis/28 ) and dress them up in devil outfits. :D

Sean Riley

Eochai - a sort of awakened pumpkin with a flaming head from one of my favorite games: City of Heroes. Can also do smaller versions of this guy without the flames. Also, Tuatha de Dannan.

lord soth and his Skelton warriors

Also the various other therianthropes--a lady weretiger, a hill giant dire wereboar, etc.

thelibraryghost

A nosferatu? Tarantula swarm? Werewolf? The grim reaper reskin of the solar? Oooh--the death knights from the original undead set! You could maybe reskin a mind flayer as an alhoon, though they might be too different for that to work. Night hag reskin of the green hag? Mummy reskin of the zombie? And you can always reskin normal minis as ghosts.

thelibraryghost

Werewolves for me, please. Maybe in various stages of changing. I would love a vampire too.

Vicky Radcliffe

Oh yeah, you could reskin the beholder as a death tyrant and the red dragon as a dracolich.

thelibraryghost

You could use the phytomancer minions as the base! And then we'd have undead mounts!

thelibraryghost

Yes good thank you. A flying fox familiar, and a swarm of vampire bats; likewise a raven/rook familiar, plus a flock of crows. I love it.

thelibraryghost

The hanging tree.

Craig Whiting

What about a raven and a bat, as well swarm versions of each? They're appropriately thematic, and would also check off 2 more of the druid/familiar beasties. I'd also enjoy seeing some graveyard props.

kryptopyr

How about a spooky tree or three and maybe some spooky crawling tendrils from the tree

Bill Redifer

Would love to see some mundane animals (horses, moocows, rats, dogs) as zombies and skeletons.

Geoffrey Davis

Would love a Warhammer theme; Werewolves, Witches/Witch hunters, Vampire troops, wights, gargoyles, or banshees. Death Tyrant, Giant Skeleton, Dracolich!

The Insane Dump

Mummy Lord would be great!

Dec Gleeson

The Oni from the MM

Wendigo, or mothman would be neat

GurrenLogin

I could use a whole Curse of Strahd menagerie!

Variety of Werewolves, variety of vampires,

Scarecrow, Skinwalkers, Wendigo, Pukwudgie, swamp thing, mothman?

Skeletal or Swamp thing Kuo-toa

Matt

2nding Worm that Walks

James Clark

Are we differentiating Halloween and Thanksgiving? If not, I'd like to suggest a dire turkey, or maybe gargantuan boar. If so, spiders, reskin of twig blights into some kind of micro bone horrors, animated scarecrow

Christopher Lee

100% pumpkin King

How about a mummy/ Mummy Lord?

Mlew

While a Pumpkin King fits with last year, I'd like to suggest something different: The Tooth Fairy (and not the kid friendly kind).

Preston Phillips

A flesh golem like Frankenstein's monster would be neat

Creepy Children or Jackalope =D

ZitronenDuft

Werwolf, Vampire, Flesh Golem, but done in the classic Universal monster style. And/or a mad scientist

Sofia Söderstrand

A Shadow or Shadow Demon could also be handy)

Roma Fleg

I second a pumpkin king!

Brad N

The Worm that Walks? Or maybe an Oblex?

Roma Fleg

Zombie knolls would be awesome to see.

Pumpkin King

Drakon Vines

Ghost children!

I don’t really have any ideas for monsters other than the typical werewolf, so what about doing a version of the hero kids from https://www.wizards.com/dnd/files/MS_HeroesHesiod.pdf that could be used for the said adventure or for a Halloween one-shot where the players are kids dressed up as the heroes, have to go trick or treating and find the previous seasonal minis.

Filipe Ribeiro

Some hags could be great too!

Tomas Gimenez

der Wassermann

Folklore monsters are good, Baba Yaga, Springheel Jack(basically a devil man with fire and smoke billowing from his mouth with spring loaded shoes in victorian garb), yorugumo from japan plenty of spooky monsters that fit in with halloween from folklore

Feidhlim Malone

Spooky scarecrow and some zombie gnolls/witherlings

Werewolves!

Werebat reskin for the Goblin/Halfling rogues

James Clark

Id like a bride of Frankenstein styled flesh golem

Giant skeletons/bone golem Wraiths/shadows/spectres Scarecrow

2nded Werewolves

James Clark

Gulthias Tree + Blight reskins of the awakened shrubs

James Clark

Dracolich

James Clark

Any non-human/elf skeletons. e.g. Dwarf Lizardfolk Centaur Minotaur

James Clark

I would like to suggest a creepy scarecrow and/or werewolves!

Bone Golem, bonus points if shaped like a spider

James Clark
