News - March - 2019

Greetings Everyone!

My apologies for the absence of these little news letters the last few months. Between the holidays, snow days, and bouts of the flu that seem to ravage my family every winter I found myself a bit too overwhelmed to handle auxiliary features and had to just focus on creating miniatures. Finally feeling caught up, so lets dive right in and see what we've missed...

December saw the addition of several Krampus themed miniatures to the Seasonal Library. These miniatures are not currently available, but will make their return on December 1st 2019 to celebrate the Winter season.

Krampus

Krampus Cultist

Krampus Cruxes

A reminder that this series of Krampus miniatures will not be available until December 1st 2019 to celebrate the Winter season.

Minis released from December 2018 through February 2019. The links below will take you to the Miniature;s Entry on the Printable Heroes Website Catalog. If you're a Patron please make sure you're logged on to be able to access your Patron version of the files.

The following are some miniatures I currently have in the works. For a more complete look at all of the various miniatures in the works I highly recommend checking out my Public Trello Board here

Tiefling Rogue and a Human Hexblade Variant

I'd created a Yuan-ti Hexblade paper miniature as part of a D&D Art Secret Santa thingy over the holidays and used a variant of the design for a Black Viper miniature to use in my Dragon Heist campaigns. I decided to do a couple further variants to create this Human Hexblade and Tiefling Rogue / Swashbuckler.

Flesh Golem and a Tomb Guardian Variant

The design for this guy has been around since October of 2017. The base flesh golem design is done and now I just need to finish up the Tomb Guardian variant of it.

Aasimar Wanderer and Ascended Aasimar Variation

A buddy of mine jumped into my Friday night D&D game so I made this Aasimar Wanderer mini for him. I'd like to sort out an "ascended"/transformed version - scribbles of which you can see below - of it to release along side this miniature.

Hobgoblin Warlord

Originally created as an Orc Warlord way back in 2014-2015, I've updated it with a back view and converted it to work for a Hobgoblin to be more in line with 5th Editions current depiction of Orcs / Hobgoblins.

Hobgoblin Cleric

I've been wanting to make a hobgoblin character forever and Ravnica's new Order Domain for clerics finally gave me an opportunity to roll one. I had to pull a few late nights to find time to make this guy, but I really enjoyed how he turned out. I've only got one session in with him, but excited to unleash the wisdom of Maglubiyet upon my Friday night game...

Kraken

Still plugging away at this monster. Currently cleaning up the backview design and then I'll be switching over to the claws and free floating tentacles.

Otyugh

This fine fellow is the latest Goal Reward. I wasn't expecting to hit that Goal Reward so quickly so I'll be scrambling to try to get this fella out along side or close behind the Kraken.

News from around the D&D and general tabletop community that I find interesting/cool enough to share.

Wizard's of the Coast Announced Their Next Official Adventure Book

A retooling of several pre-existing adventures from previous editions. Looks like fun.

New D&D Podcast from Slap Dash Studios

I had the good fortune to have had Law @Flawed_Lawgic as my DM during a lovely D&D Dinner event put on by Orcs! Orcs! Orcs! and he ran a surprise one-shot adventure for my birthday last year.  He's a crazy good, professional level DM and he's just started a really entertaining D&D Podcast called the League of Ultimate Questing.

2-Minute Tabletop - Hero Tokens

Ross from 2-Minute Tabletop (in addition to the great maps he does) has been working on some top down tokens which look absolutely amazing.

Critical Role Goes Animated - Kickstarter

In the time it has taken me to write this news letter they've raised over $2.2 million to do an animated special of Vox Machina. That's crazy awesome and goes to show that we really are in a golden age of D&D right now. I first discovered Critical Role when people kept commenting, "Grog?" on a Goliath Barbarian paper miniature I did several years ago, since then I've literally spent hundreds of hours listening to them while I worked on Printable Heroes. They've made D&D so much more accessible and the positive impact they've made growing the D&D community cannot be understated. Here's hoping this sparks an entire animated series of Critical Role!

Alright. I think that'll do it for now. Special shout out and thanks to all of my amazing Patrons who make all of this possible!

Oh man, I'm super excited for that tiefling/swashbuckler. What a great pose! I was just recently wondering if you were planning on doing any more tieflings. I don't know if you're planning on doing class variants like you did with the Tabaxi, but I look forward to seeing if I can use this for my bard regardless!

Bellamy Lee

Super excited to see all the stuff that's in the works. I've been hoping those old demons would be getting a redesign sometime!

Dan Layman-Kennedy

So awesome how many miniatures have you done in these two months!! I really love the redesign of the goblins and kobolds, and I'm very fond of the new hobgoblins!!
