Middle of the Month Update for October

Hello Everyone!

We're a bit more then half way through October and I wanted to do another mid month update. Regular readers may notice the recurring trend of, all the minis I planned to work on this month versus all of the random minis I actually worked on... it's almost like I'm just rolling a d20 to kick off each work day... >_>

Seasonal Halloween Themed Minis

As mentioned in this post here, I wanted to test out doing some Seasonal minis for this Halloween. The first of which is this set of Jack-O-Lanterns which is now available here.

You'll notice the “spooky” ghost border around the Jack-O-Lanterns on the website – I'll be using that to denote these Seasonal Halloween themed minis,

I'm wrapping up the formatting on this Graveyard Elemental and it'll be released here soon,

From there I'll be switching back over to finalizing a design for the Headless Horseman and kicking myself for never having tried to draw a horse before...

Depending I might also try to sneak a few more fun Halloween themed minis in before the end of the month...  A reminder that these seasonal minis will only be available until Nov 2nd, at which time they'll go back in the attic until we pull 'em out again next year.

Miser Shen, the Weretoad

Given the season it felt like a good time to update this creepy old Tier 2+ reskin, so he got re-released for with some new formatting, cut files, and PSD files. You can check those out here.

Skeletons

Likewise it seemed fitting to update these skeletons with the current formatting, cutfiles, and a quick quality of life art pass to bring them in line with the more recent minis.  They're available here.

Harvest Pumpkin Props

We hit another Goal Reward (thank goodness because it would have been super awkward releasing these pumpkins in the middle of December...). Files are available here.

Next Goal Reward will be a Strahd Von Zarovich paper miniature (to be released for free on the DM's Guild).

Nothic to See Here

Kind of spur of the moment decide to finally make a much requested Nothic mini. Just as I was starting to format files for release I noticed an art error on one of the back legs (I accidentally foreshortened it in the front view and carried that over on the back view which is a serious, “no no”). I'll be correcting that as soon as I have a chance and should have him available before the end of the month.

The Council

The Human Bandit with Human Assassin reskin got selected for the Council Mini this month. I've finished up the bandit side of it and we'll be shifting over to the Assassin reskin once the Horseman is done.

Waterdeep: Dragon Heist

Started running this campaign last week and I've been steadily workin' my way through some minis to represent some of the key NPCs. I'll be releasing generic versions like normal and then I plan to package up some NPC specific versions that will be released via the DM's Guild sometime down the road.

Speaking of Waterdeep, finished the Dwarven City Watch mini. I'd like to do at least one more female mini for the set and then a Lamp Post prop to go along with 'em before I release the set, just one more thing I'll be plugging away at in between everything else.

Stirges

My players encountered some Stirges recently so opted to finally finish up a mini for it, which you can snag here

Lets see, what else has been going on...

The Website

Straight from Alex:

The next website update is shaping up to be one of the biggest since launch. The new update will allow you to sort and filter by the following things:

This is quite a lot of work to implement so it will take some time. Hopefully it will be done before the end of the month.

The feedback you provide about the website is super useful and helps us prioritize new updates. Because your feedback the update following the next one will focus on improving the login, mainly reducing the amount of times you have to login to the website.

In Other Random RPG News...

I think that's it for now. Thanks again everyone!

I'm running CoS at the moment so reading this has me VERY excited :D

Anniek.

Just realized you could reskin these Stirge minis and make nice palm trees. hahahahaha

Tiago Frossard

Ooh, that makes sense. Awesome! My party will be visiting my campaign's version of Barovia very soon, so these last few updates are absolutely perfect. Keep it up, everything you've been putting out is stunning!

Raaans

planning on reworking this headless horseman for Strahd riding on a nightmare as something different since the existing vampire already works well for a "on foot" vampire.

This positive feedback made my evening, thank you so much! :)

SO PUMPED FOR THE WEBSITE UPDATES! The work there gives so much more bang for buck for your work. Can't wait for the CR implementation.

HobbestheCalvinst

Wow!! That headless horseman is awesome!! Hope that the horse became available as a separate mini, and a standard horseman also. Thank you for sharing with us these updates, it's just as funny as printing and cutting your miniatures :D

Ariel Sosa Visconti

Great update! I get pretty excited to see these come in my e-mail. I've been running my group through the Starter Set and we are about to hit Phandelver with Redbrands and the infamous Nothic. I'm so excited to see that one! Love your Stirges. Amazing work as always!

Scott Kauffman

Wow that headless horseman looks insane. Great work! I'm curious what you're planning for strahd and how he'd be different from the currently available vampire.

Raaans

Love this Update!! Great Job!!

Fernando Alonso Simón

I really love these updates! Thank you for sharing other artists and makers too. I've only been playing DnD for a little over a year so diving into the wealth of knowledge in the community of players and creators has been daunting, the discoveries I make because of your willingness to share is worth the subscription alone. I'm having so much fun being your patreon! THANK YOU! Spent a couple of hours this evening sorting my currently finished minis into a filing bin and was stoked to see this update when I finished.

Andrew Wittenauer

About to start running waterdeep dragon heist. Stoked to see that your working on minis from the module!!

Shaun Landman

Any news about the Water Elementals?

Philip Wiest

Very excited to see the token Kickstarter! The art looks great, hopefully they have a virtual file tier.
