Dragonborn WIP Preview

Yeah, sorry, been working on all of the art elements for it. For the dragonborn, got all of the back elements inked and about 80% done with colors on the front side. Just a lot of behind the scenes work that goes into it - everytime I think of some new element/accessory I want to add I have to then do the back version of it as well. I'll post up an update as soon as all of the front pieces are fully colored.

I'd pay a lot more if this was a function you could cycle through like you can with the colors. $10 per month is a lay up and $20 is reasonable.

Totally doable. Not sure it'll make it into my initial release for this guy, but could fit it into a reskin release down the line.

Oh man, that is perfect. I've been using your minis to run my campaign and my players love them, but they've been asking about customizing them. This would be absolutely amazing to use (Especially because the pickiest one is a dragonborn warlock)

Of course budd. I imagined something like this would be the $10 tier reward since youd be releasing essentially an editable file. Just means we gatta step up and pay you for your work!

Yeah, my current plan is to create a "default" configuration for each class and release them as miniatures like normal, and then the layered PSD file(s) with all of the accessory options will be available for Tier 10 patrons to customize to their hearts content. As much as I'd love clickable interactive PDF files for these the technical implications / time it'd take to set that up just aren't sustainable, and I doubt interactive PDF files can support that many interacting layers.

This is the idea ive been waiting for! Thought of this myself and was hoping you'd do something like this. I think having each race then doing each class in that race would be solid!!!!! Makes mixing and matching heroes to suit groups seamless :). I do however think this might be suited to the higher tier rewards? I've got no problem upping the donation if it means full sets and skins. AWESOME WORK AS ALWAYS BUDD!

Yeah! I'm very excited to see how this process evolves once I start getting more practice with it. It's a dangerous rabbit hole where I can easily see myself endlessly fiddling with accessories when I should really be creating new miniatures, but all part of the learning process!

I hope so! It's a dangerous rabbit hole for me to go down - so easy for me to get lost and try to solve everything with toggling accessories when entirely new miniatures would be more appropriate. Oh well, all part of the learning process!

This is an amazing idea, I really hope that you manage to work it out in a way you like. The alternate heads and hands are really what make it, I would absolutely love to see this happen. It would be great to do a few body poses as well, especially since you are not beholden to the casting process the way miniatures are and could create any number of dynamic, unique forms.

I think this will save you tons of time in the long run, for eg do the base classes for M and F and then only any other classes you want to!

Did I accidentally read your mind on my June 6th post to the Community thread :D The concept is great, I think you're going to break into a really big niche of people who will find great value in that stuff to get them started on your work. I'm going to keep on being a Patron, even waiting for my party to be complete...it's what I get for having a Aarakocra Monk and Genasi Rogue in my party!

Shoot, and I'd even "corrected" my sloppy sketches by adding the extra fingers. Yeah, if this pans out then I intend to create female and male versions for each race.

I love this idea, my only suggestion would be finding a pose for the legs that works better for the heavy classes, currently it works great for the bard and ranger, but the fighter looks like he's ready to get knocked on his butt. With that said, i LOVE the idea and the versatility. I think that this would be a great solution to creating variety in the humanoid enemies as well.

Wow! Great idea! If you could make every common races both male and female, would be awesome. Head on this idea. It's a very good one. Note that Dragonborn have just three fingers and a thumb on each hand. I like your fine work. Thanks for that.

I absolutely love this angle on player characters! The only thing that could make it better is to add women versions of each race in addition to all this. You do amazing work and I can't wait to see how this idea fleshes out.

Thank you! Have been wanting to use your figures in our D&D session but the DM is just worried about everyone not finding a token. But if you could do this for more races, especially the more unusual one, then there should be something for every player. Thank you for all the hard work, I'm loving it :)

I've been doing the same with magic item cards I've been making for my players. Lots of time up front with the hopes of busting out quick items for hopefully years to come. Love your work man, money well spent IMO.
