Map Tile Test

Been wanting to do maps forever and I think I've finally settled on a format that might work for me. I'm not sure they're something I'll be able to complete on a monthly schedule yet, but if there's interest I'd definitely like to start incorporating them in on occasion.

Image above is for a test 5"x7" tile and I'll be releasing it (and hopefully another tile) to Patrons this month.

Is there a mapping program that your tiles would potentially work with? Maybe if there is each tile you make could be used for custom rooms by the DM and the tiles made available each month (or however long) would be from the room you designed?

Andrew Cartwright

AWESOME

Amanda Smith

awesome!

That room looks gorgeous! Keep up the good work. You are amazing!

Luke

This looks great! some 2D scenery would also be awesome... printable hedges and shrubs, rocks, trees etc in the same art style as your minis, with a similar base style.

Joshua King

its would be amazing if you will incorporate maps to your miniatures :)

Hen Biton

Oh, I was just kidding dude! Sorry!

Most paper miniature producers use paper cutters to preview their miniatures. I'm definitely not trying to false advertise, just trying to show these miniatures in as professional of a manner as I can :/

PrintableHeroes

I've uploaded some cut files here https://www.patreon.com/posts/paper-cut-files-8063390 for people who have paper cutters to test out. I plan to offer cut files for people who want to invest in their own paper cutters.

False Advertisement! :'(

The 3D papercraft of Worldwork is a bit out of my league at the moment, but the modular tiles are what I'd like to work towards.

PrintableHeroes

I upgraded to a silhouette cameo paper cutter in an effort to be a bit more professional looking XD

PrintableHeroes

I would love to see this in something modular ala Fat Dragon or Worldworks style!

P.R. Scholtz

I just want to know how you cut so cleanly :'(

Thanks, that's an awesome compliment :) I definitely try to bring my own sensibilities to it. Which really just boils down to, "does the inner 12 year old me want to pick this up and play with it?" haha

PrintableHeroes

Loving it! Looking forward to seeing what is in store

DMofDhoom

Yes please!!! Even if you did 'generic' themed 2x2 tile sets then could always do special larger tiles that'd be awesome!!!!!

Michael

I love it. Your eye for aesthetics is unmatched imho.

Flowers

Im in love with these tiles!!! <3 If you make tokens with some traps, furniture and other dungeon stuff this will be the perfect dungeon starter set to my campaigns. :)

Poe Bellentani

Add me to this group too! lol Amazing work.

Poe Bellentani

Can you just tell me where to mail my credit card already?

Bert Riviere

Those look great! This is very timely for me, as I have been researching tile sets and wanting to buy some. I would LOVE it if you would start releasing tile sets along with your minis!

David Bloom

Love the style. Has a lot of character to it (much like your minis). I'm definitely interested.

Steven Jarvis

Take my damn money!

Love it. Very nice job on the forced perspective.

CrashGem

Nice! I'd just landed on 5x7 because I could fit two on a standard piece of paper, didn't realize there was already a standardized card stock option for it!

PrintableHeroes

That's awesome because I have a stack of a hundred #100 card stock that are 5x7" and work in my laser printer! :)

Christophor Rick

Cool work!

Kravenar Games

Yeah, I've still got some in the works, I just need to dedicate the time/prioritize them over normal minis XD but I plan on releasing some props eventually.

PrintableHeroes

Yeah! While it might not happen with the tiles I'm working on this month, I do plan on taking advantage of the interactive PDF technology to enable toggling on/off elements in the tile. So for example, you could have a dungeon room and just like you can cycle color options for minis you'd be able to cycle through preset room layouts. Still experimenting, but that's what I'm looking into.

PrintableHeroes

Honestly though id pay more to get things like chest and boxes as stand up props. Would really bring my maps to life, love the stalagmites you released with the roper. Use them all time!

Benn Hart

Add me to the interested group. I run a digital map campaign and this would be awesome.

Douglas Miller

Looks great.. I am in the "interested" group.

Scott E Nash

Looks very cool. I'm in the process of making my own Wyloch tiles at the moment, but I definitely like the idea of these. I'd probably be more interested in a tile set with various props that could be laid over top of the tiles, though I know there's definitely an audience for pre-assembled rooms.

David Ramey

Looks amazing!
